I have one of "cone style" air filters and I kept the "box" off for good. I'm readin around hearing that its good to remove your "silencer" from your filter but does it make any difference? and does my type of filter have a silencer?

the silencer is not in the filter but on the air can lid itself, first you must remove the MAS and then remove the silencer,I removed mine and replaced the stock filter with a K&N and I felt a big difference,Im not sure if the 2G has a silencer?do a search for silencer removal in the club seach thingy and you will find all the info you need on the topic
