how come the NT have higher compression then the TURBOs
does the cylinder head on the NT have more volume than TURBO head?
or does the crank shaft on the NT give a longer stroke?
I'm asking because, i want to convert my 90 Talon to a TURBO.
I hope all this makes sense [Linked Image]

Just change the pistons, the turbo's use a dished piston to decrease the compression ratio. The heads are the same except the cams are different.

heyy tony

i was thinking of that if you want to conwert the cat to turbo it would be better to get ecu and engine and tranny from turbo and run the wires that are needed from ecu to the engine and that all you need. For further infos ask mike hamilton.

Thanks

Yeah, most pistons are convex at the top. They have a "bulge". But turbo pistons are concave. They have an "indent". This increases the volume and reduces the compression ratio, because, basically, turbos compressing the air increases that ratio.
