is it 5x114? i know it is 5 lugs but not sure if it is 5x100 or 5x112 or 5x114. can someone help me out here?
and also my stock rims/rubber is 14 inches adn i am planning to get 17 for the summer. would 235/40R17 too big for the eclipse? would it be too wide or just perfect fit?

thanks in advance

They are 5x114.3. 235's might fit depending on the width of the rim and the offset of the wheel. I personally wouldn't go with 235's unless you've got a 7.5 or 8" wide rim.

Check out the various discussions on wheel and tire size at the <A HREF="http://1000q.dsm.org">http://1000q.dsm.org</A> (particularly the <A HREF="http://www.users.voicenet.com/~coughlin/dsm/twheel.htm">aftermarket wheels FAQ</A>)

I've got a 96 Esi Talon
I've got stock 14's as well and plan on adding 17"s
I was told on a N/T you can go 245/45/17
Thats as big as you can go, other wise the rear tire will rub against the upper arm. Unless you have coils, which changes the position of it.

This is a good site to go to:
http://www.tirerack.com/index.jsp

You can pick and choose tires and wheels, plus it will tell you the stock size, and tell you what will fit.
It also shows you a pic of most cars and changes the wheels and size so you can see what the car will look like with the selected wheel.

Hope this helps

I had 225/45/17's and they were big tires. about a fingers width at the upper control arm, and pretty close to the edge of the fender. To me these tires were the perfect size. Without comprising offset or your tires sticking out the sides.

I had ZERO rub even when the steering wheel was cranked. Torrey can confirm this, he has the rims and tires now!

i got the rims and i bought 2 new tires for the front. it looks so nice now compare to the stock ones. i love the 235/45R17 combination. it is perfectly size in my opinion.
