I am looking for a pic of a NT talon flywheel, 90-94, and if anyone has ever weighed one, what does it weigh?

Hello.
19 lbs if I remember right.
ACT Clutch would be an "overkill" for a NT. I'd probably consider a good old Centerforce.
Some had good luck with these Clutch while others have said they wear a little fast...
Just make sure you have the FW resurfaced (that might be why some say they wear a little fast...).
Back to the FW; You can get it lighten by shaving the "Hat Section" on the back side of the FW.
I've seen it shaved down to half way and it removed 3.5 lbs. You could probably removed that Hat Section totally and probably reduce it to 13 lbs.
hope this helps.
Ghislain.

Well, i am now to assume the FW is not stepped.
I am asking this cause i would like to order a strong clutch for my colt, and supposedly the FW on the colt is like the NT talon, only lighter, 14lbs, and it has alot of meat on the crank side of the FW, I can shave about 3lbs of this flywheel, so it will be about 11lbs. I have an option for a real cheap priced CF dual friction for the 61t FW. But i want to explore my options for a FW/disk setup. I could go with a Turbo FW and ACT kit, but that will weigh a lot more than the colt FW and CF kit. So if the NT FW weighs as much as the turbo talon FW, then forget it. The colt FW is not stepped, but supposedly shares the same PP and disk. Confused yet?? LOL.
So nobody with any pics, or dimensions of a NT fw?? Thanks ghilain.

That is the nice thing about a NT. No step FW...
I use to have an older Colt. Was also a NT.
Could you post the prices??? Just curious.

tim hunt, youve got me confused! I am not running a NT car, i drive a colt with the 4g61t motor, very similar to the 4g63t motor. There are very small differences between the two. It uses a NT talon like flywheel(no step), but lighter. I just want to know the weight, which i do know now, thanks, for curiosity sake. I want to know if the clutch for a NT talon will fit the turbo colt FW, which according to ACT and centerforce, they are the same part numbers. So i am going to end up using my stock flywheel, which only weighs 14lbs, and lighten the crap out of it. If i can get 3lbs off this flywheel, like i did out of my older colt, which uses a 16lb flywheel, and i got it down to 13lbs(thats 3lbs less than stock), i might have a super light stock flywheel that weighs 11ishlbs. I hope to see 200fwhp out of the 4g61t. And at the price im getting the dual friction CF kit, slightly used, 11K miles, it cant be worse than what i have on right now. I also need a strong enough clutch to widthstand the power of a 4g63t, modded, as I am doing a swap next year into the colt, i am hoping to use the 61t flywheel with some heavy duty clutch by then. Want to learn more about the 61t motor, visit www.4g61t.com Thanks again for the info guys.
