Hey guys.
My speedometer quit on me about 2 years ago. I don't take my Talon out very much, so it hasn't really been that big of a deal...but I'd like to get it fixed.

The speedometer and odometer both don't work. The speedometer sometimes will up to maybe 10/15km/h. But that's it.
My car is a 1996 Talon, Esi 5 spd.

I know on top of the trasmission under the battery, there is the speed sensor. Anyone know/think that this is the problem?

I'd like to have an idea before I go spend $60 at Chrysler or $80 at Mitsu.

Thanks guys.

I just PM'd you, but I missed you saying the odometer and speedo BOTH don't work, did they both go out at the same time? if so then maybe it's a cluster problem or the connection is bad? if they were seperate then my guess is the speed sensor.
