I heard today that some religion from the middle east area is now allowed to bring cerimonial daggers into school and workplaces.

So when the hell do I get to take my cermonial shotgun into the parliament buildings?

Another thing is the bus service here in Peterborough is horrible, it is very unefficient and it is never on time. The drivers make $60,000 a year. IMO they shouldn't receive more than 12$ an hour instead they are making $23 or something per hour. What gives, you drive a bus, there are no rewards, no challenges, nothing, you sit on your ass all day!

That dagger thing pissed me off to no end. Absolutely no end. If somebody is caught with a utility knife in their bag because they had a school project, it is over, suspension for a while.

****ing nonsenese.

it is not from Middle East. It is orthodox sikhism which is from south asia.

Growing up in brampton I'm all too familiar with the dagger thing. Quite frankly I didn't like seeing armed sikhs at my work place, and walking around the street. Now that they can bring them into school its only a matter of time before some thug stabs someone.

People that frickin tailgate for no good reason. They potenitally endanger peoples' lives by making the person in front extremely nervous. If you want to go fast, wait until there is an opening. 1/2 a car length is too close at 125. Plus, isn't 125 fast enough on the highway?

It grinds my gears when you are approaching a stop light on a 2+ lane road, and some dick cuts you off at the last second because rather than being 4th in line at the light they want to be 2nd. Thus, forcing you to slam on your breaks to avoid hitting them and being 100% at fault for it too.

Not in the left lane its, not. If someone is behind you in that lane, MOVE OVER. Who cares if they want to get a ticket?? (I understand it could be reckless, but most times its not).

The left lane is only for passing slower traffic, once your the slower traffic, move bi*ch, get out da way.. bird laugh

Not in the PASSING lane, most likely. BUT in the passing lane, you(and I) are in no position to tell people how fast they choose to drive. As a matter of fact, I have heard an officer saying that you could go as high as 130 to PASS (and only to pass)

if you agree that going more than 100 is ok, then the actual value is up for discussion!
There has been times when you were in rush and had to drive at 130! right?

But about this dagger crap:
I think I should come up with a religion that woudl require me to come to school and work with AK47. who wants to join?! guys I need 5 to start this and then we are all good. for assure the safety of the public I could promise to not use it too, isn't that good enough?!

Oh wait, my religion says I should pinch people's asses as I walk, I am so doing that tomorrow.

(p.s. if the previous two statements offended some people, too bad shuffle )

i was in joking mood when I posted the last one, now I reminded how much this pissed me off when I read it first and still rages my anger like a broken timing belt.

there is only ONE reason to carry a weapon, to use it. Whether it is a person's immediate choice or a religious obligation. I dagger is not a weight balast nor is it to pop beer, it is there to be used as a weapon!!! and it has no place in a civilised society.
Grade school is certainly not a place for a dagger. UGHHHHHHHHHH

I hope the Quebec government would use the notwithstanding clause. THIS IS THE TIME FOR IT

What grind my gears are these 2 types of typical people who take the meaning of "driving dangerously fast, cut-off to drive slow" to the extremes.

The first type:
I'm driving along, and wham I get tailgated by a motorist in the middle lane who’s somewhat eager to pass. The left lane is clear. They make a pass on the right side lane and cut me off, just to do what...slow down to a speed that forces me to hit the brakes.

The second type:
Same as the first one, but worse. The person stops forcing me to stop and wonder why they have stopped and forcing me to wait behind them. Then when the traffic on the on-coming lane clears, they then signal for the left turn when 75% of the turn is completed.

And of course I can’t forget the finger I receive after letting the driver know how pissed I am by giving the long honk of the horn. bah

People who dont pull over and or get out of the way of emergency vehicles. I see this on a regular basis with people not moving, turning in front of them at intersections and sitting side by side at a red making no attempt to create a space but rather wait for a light change.

My personal wish for these people is that when they get home their house is burnt to the ground because the fire truck couldnt get there in time. You get to the office and get a call that your dad died on route to hospital because the amulance took too long in traffic. The guys that robbed your house and threatened your family got away because the police were delayed responding to the 911 call.

These guys have an important job so get the fcuk out of the way.

chicks and...
The guys behind me at Loblaws last night who bought a Skor bar and chapstick with a Platinum Visa with his Mom's name (the check out guy questioned it)....I get into my Talon thats parked beside a new G35 with a 'University of Western Ontario' sticker in the back window. He gets in, starts it up and it jumps forward (guess it was still in gear), he starts up again, reverses and stalls it. He looked about 18, and probably didn't have much experience with it but jesus must be nice to have folks with cash.

Fat girls that think they look good. Go home and eat some more cake so your pants are even tighter.

Also chicks with mega camel toe, are you blind?

People who break into houses and don't steal anything worth stealing, are you stupid? I think so.

Someone broke into my gf's house and stole wine and a bracelet with her name on it, WTF! There were clearly valuable things in plain site that would have gotten him a few hundred bucks at least.

Also homeless people that beg for money but will not do any work for it, I hope you starve to death. At least that crazy guy with the pail for a drum that sings Joy to the World is entertaining me, he deserves a couple of bucks!

Watching "Pinks" and some 20 year old Krispy Kreme eating computer geek with a supposed 600 hp Civic against a Camaro. He cries and gets 20...count em 20 lengths and the nitrous on the Camaro disabled. How the fcuk is this a race? Why doesnt the Civic just wait a few feet before the finish line and have his crew push him over. Wow how embarassing is that. Yeah man I killed that Camaro with only 20 and slicks and no bumper.

The show before were 1000+++hp vette vs nova heads up which is the only way to race or stay home.

Haha I saw that last night too....what a joke that kid was. Then he was saying someone sabotaged his ride. But I do beleive it was a 96' trans am wink correct me if I'm wrong

That show before with the 1600HP cars was good though. At least the dude that lost did so respectivley, and didn't want to win cause he had an edge over the other dude. That vette was sweet though. How much would have that sucked had he lost it on his first pass, he came pretty f'in close

He complained that someone cut the line to his wastegate. Now, I'm not a wastegate specialist, but are they not designed to stay normally closed, and then opened by vacuum? That would mean he would overboost if the vacuum line was cut. Either way, had it affected his ride, he would have noticed while he was driving, not once he went to inspect an oil leak. That car was an embarrassment to Imports. It looked like he had a slipping clutch and an open diff. I think I could have ran (on foot) a better 60'.

20 car lengths? Come on. Go home an learn to build a race car. That Honda ran 12s at best. It looked like he had an ebay intercooler setup. 600hp? What dyno? The BenchRacer 2000?

Yeah sorry to say the Trans Am driver ( I stand corrected) wink was all class and the Civic driver was a clown. It would have been nice to see an AWD DSM spank him though. All and all a black day for import drivers across the world because of that Civic. bah

I grew up in Alberta. What can I say? (yeehah maybe?) I'll never get used to the agressive drivers in southern Ontario. When I'm in the DSM, I don't care so much, one blip on the throttle and I could be 15km/h faster, but in the legacy (NT) it takes a while. Be patient grasshopper. cool

I was laughing at that civic driver the whole time. what a bitch. He can't drive, his car is not 600hp, and did i mention what a bitch?

He took off the rear bumper to save weight? He should have removed that extra 300pounds around his waiste.

-The institution of organized government.
It's sad when your rulers are so corrupt that they use the Mafia as a business model.

-Insurance companies:i It's legalized extortion.
If you are I try to extort money, we get arrested, for that's against the law. However, if insurance companies do it (and of course, the government) then it's for the greater good, and there's nothing wrong with it. As a general rule, we should all be allowed to cheat on our taxes with the mindset of: "They stole from me first, I just want back what's already mine." because it's true.

-SUV drivers. (and by golly, there are a lot of them here...)

-Drivers who don't let other drivers "in" when two lanes are trying to merge, it's called courtesy you jackass.....have some.

-Construction crews who force the above mentioned situation for extended periods of time because after all, they get paid by the hour right?

-Construction crews.

-London's traffic light system

-Ceremonial daggers: Wow. This has the potential to open up a whole big can of worms based on religion and racial tolerance, which is why we have this problem in the first place:
Our society has become so tolerant for fear of reprisal that everything is allowed.
When is someone going to be able to stand up and say: "Hey! wait a second!! concealed weapons? now that's just going too far!and you know what? that just ain't right!" and be able to make it stick.

ALthough that civic was lousy, I felt bad for the poor guy. He looked so sad. He probably spent his life savings on that car.

What grinds my gears is people who drive ugly cars that park parallel in two parking spaces. I see this at malls all the time. (like the parking lots aren't crowded enough without some dumbass taking up two spots!)
AND
People that come to a 4 way stop and start looking around wondering who's turn it is to go, holding up everyone behind them. It's usually old people, but a younger fat bald guy in a sunfire did it last night and I wanted to punch him.

Yeeow! Nothing like a paradigm shift without using the clutch!

I second that Sarah smile

Or just people who double park in general, that's just selfish, and selfish people grind my gears wink

Another thing:

CIVIC drivers who for some reason, think their commuter car is a bona fide sports car.
Hey junior, guess what? it's still a civic.

What pisses me off?

1) banks and insurance companies (as pointed out...legalized racketeering!)
2) People that don't respect my culture (i.e. Canadian culture) and then expect me to respect theirs (like the Sikh Mounties who can't wear the 150+ year traditional hat due to "religious" reasons.)
3) a-holes who call me rascist because I'm white and German and don't always agree with political f'n correctness...

-thou shalt not pimp thy ride
-thou shal not pay into any system inwhich you reap no reward.
-thou shal move extremely fast whilst punking civics
-thou shalt not say that women are in any way better than men for the purpose of impressing women.
-thou shalt not purchase a fuel grade less than 94 octane
-

Please feel free to join my religion and add to the comandments.

I just don't like religion period no offense to anyone. The main reason why I don't like religion is because it divides people not unite people. No one really reads what religion is telling you, it is actually pretty peaceful, but then you have those dick heads that try to convert other people blah blah "My religion is right yours is wrong" thats what causes war. Main reason of WAR is religion, if there wasn't any religion, there would be very little wars. I do believe in god, but I don't need religion to tell me he exists. Now I am not saying I disrespect peoples religion and culture, no way, i respect everyones culture and beliefs but I personally think its those few in different religions that ruin everything, so I just say, believe in god, respect others, don't kill anyone or steal etc, your all good.

Oh man, i turned this into a religious thing. There is no god. We are gods..... to ants.
Imagine David Blaine living 2000years ago. I'd bow down.

Anyways..My religion is better than anyone's. because the next commandment is:

thou shalt not harm anyone for this religion.

Now who's with me?

What grinds my gears is folks that walk around with a chip on their shoulders, acting like their above you or acting like I am blessed to have made their acquaintance.
I also hate chicks with mega egos, although we all need them to have some fun with (bring them down a little from the pedestal is loads of fun).

I hate people who drive and smoke. Pull your lazy ass over and kill yourself slowly, or wait until you get to where you have to go. Nothing worse than someone who has dropped the cigarette in their laps and go looking for it.

For the record, I'd like to point out that there is a very big difference between Religion and Faith.
Religion is a man made institution unfortunately tainted with Piety, Sanctimonium, Hyprocrisy and over the top zeal. The Sanhedrin of Christ's day and the middle ages church were fine examples of this.
Faith is a spirtual connection with you and God, unhindered by the judgement and rules of the fallable men around you.

^^^ Thank god I just quit;

What grinds my gears??? This little piss-ant kid at work who thinks he knows crap about cars. He found out that I had a Talon and he's obsessed with me. He's 18 and one of the foreman's sons. Just to give you an idea, here's what he said to me today....

Him:

"Man, you'll never guess what sweet car I saw today!" (He regularly starts his convo's with me this way, bringing up some sic car that only few have ever seen.... Read on)

Me:
"Oh yea? What's that" (Btw, I am taking a leak at this time, dick in hand, and this punk's talking to me...)

Him" This Nissan Skyline, Twin Turbo, All-wheel Drive, All wheel steer, saw it on Auto Trader in Ottawa... "

Me: (Laughing, apparently he's best friends with the guy that owns the Viper SRT10 around here too rotflmao )

"You know they aren't legal in Canada eh?"

Him:
"Yeah, well only if you drive safe and stuff, you have to get like a safe ticket and if you're not screwing around, they'll leave you alone"

Me:
"Uh, no, they don't pass MTO standards"

Him:
"Oh"

So by this time, I didn't know either to laugh or cry.

The moral of the story is, I hate people who think they know about cars, and everytime they open their mouth to you, you feel insulted just listening to them.

Heh. Kids will be kids.

Nothing wrong with throwing a cigarette butt out the window, really. They cool fast enough that they don't hurt anything, and are biodegradable. I have issues with people that do the same thing with their garbage. (Tims cups, anyone?)

And if I ever manage to get my BMW, I WILL be 'double-diagonal' parking at malls. Because another peeve are people with '80s era junkers that park RIGHT BESIDE the nice car miles away across the parking lot, and then throw their doors open into it.

Oh this fat lady in my building has a little VW Golf. With smoke in hand she throws open her door, grabs her bags, and rocks herself back and forth to turn far enough to get out of the car.

She didnt just open the door, she threw it. Luckily the new civic beside her was JUST far enough away. On the other hand the bitch set off my alarm before that. I dont know if she hit the door or it was just the gravity from her ass pulling on the sensors.

What ginds my gears? Well...

Government officials tailgating you while driving an SUV drinking a timmy's, smoking, and eating a chocolate bar they bought with their platinum visa. Then, without using their turn signals, they cut you off just to be second in line in the right passing lane. Then, you get out to five the bastard who just cut you off a piece of your mind, when you find out it's some fat girl who has a HUGE chip on her shoulder and thinks she looks good with the worst case of camel toe. So, because you are the flying spagetti man, you give her a piece of her mind, but she looks at you, throws her timmie's cup out the window, flicks her cigarette on the ground and takes off. So you get in your civic, and because you're wastegate line is cut, you have 1600 hp to catch up to her, only to see a stop sign ahead. So now you're more pissed because it's a 4 way stop and she doesn't know who's right of way it is, there's an ambulance coming and you can't move because she won't pull over because she doesn't know how to push the clutch in enough to get it into gear.

So, finally I get to eat my All-Bran Bar which tastes great....

Throwing cigarette buts out the window really grings my gears especially when it's done at night time and you have sparks that fly off the road like it's the 4th of July. And if it happens to hit my windshield in the process (like it did a few times on the 400) that's just the icing on the cake. It's no different than throwing garbage or spitting out the window and hitting someone else's car in the process. I'm sure that would piss most people off.

FACK, my wife and I often complain about all the TV-crap there is these days. Deal or no deal, apprentice, survivor, bachelor, the block, etc etc etc. arrrrrgh!!!! annoy

Gone are the days of the decently written sitcom.

I'm also PO'ed at all the glorified zoomed-in gore they have on shows like CSI, etc. I love those shows except for the gore.

- Attorneys: These utterly dispicable persons are why our society is in such a stranglehold. People are afraid to do anything because lawyers come up with new and inventive ways to take you for everything you've got. Doctors are afraid to treat or help - for fear of getting sued. "political correctness" prevents you from calling a spade a spade - because anything you cay can be actionable.
Hell, even helping someone on the side of the road could possibly end in litigation if they tried hard enough. Of course, this is spawned by people's greed to take someone else to the cleaners, but it's the lawyers that take a crazy idea, and actually make it happen.

- Ironically, any all motorsports.
If gas is such a rare and precious commodity; something we are on the brink of running out of, then why do we have enough to dump into the thirsty tanks of utterly useless car races?
Everywhere I look, there are more an more "specialty" classes of vehicle racing, each one more stupid and asinine than the last.
How many billions of gallons could be saved if it didn't have to be wasted on brightly coloured machines going round and round and round and round.

Speaking of roll up the rim, It's that time again, isn't it?
Last year, we won the camping gear smile right now, I'd just be happy with one large regular.
Someone hook me up. wink

I have a few things that grind my gears, but after I list them I would like to say a point about dealing with it.

-People who always insult my talon, just to make them feel good about driving their parents cars (I have too many rich kids at my school)

-People who use road rage as a solution to other driver’s road rage

-Rich kids who think they are gangster (a few of us know what its like to grow up in a hard life, and I know lots of people had it even worse then me.)

People who give old people a hard time for driving a bit slower. How the hell do you know what they are thinking? Maybe they are scared to death of all the fast cars around them and the speed they are driving is what makes them comfortable. Be patient, these are the same people who waited for you when you were learning to read or walk. Try to show some respect.

Now back to dealing with it. I believe driving has become ridiculous. I live in a rural area now and its much more laid back. People who tailgate to get back at someone for cutting him or her off, or brake testing someone who is following too close is childish and dangerous. If people want to be idiots, just pull over and let them "go have the accident somewhere else". To retaliate to their actions with more road rage lowers you to their level. I may only be 18, but this advice has probably saved my paint, and my ass many times already. I see lots of drivers out there on the road doing this. Try to think of the people inside the other cars, rather then "that stupid SUV". You wouldn't follow someone around with your cart 2" from their heels in a grocery store if they walk in front of you, why do it in expensive cars?

Last night an American grinded my gears big time (relax pervs, finish reading)

I pulled up to a stop light behind an SUV turning left. He did not have his left hand turn singal on (annoying) but was in the left hand turning lane, so it was safe to assume he was also planning to turn left, as was I.
Light went green. Guy just sat there. No other cars around. I took this opportunity to roll down my window to listen if his car was still running (it might have stalled) and checked the tailpipe. It was running all right. I also noticed he was on a cell phone and had a Colorado licence plate.
So I gave a little honk to let him know he was now allowed to proceed through the intersection (cause i really wanted to get through the light before it turned red again)
So he turned, and I turned. THEN he freaked out and while we were driving down a 2 lane street, he kept driving 15km/h under the speed limit, and every time I went into the opposite lane, so I could hopefully pass him, he cut in front of me, back and forth, like he was trying to trap me behind him. Well, since I was in a talon and he was in a crappy SUV, I managed to get up beside him, and as I was passing him he gave ME the finger. Like WTF!!?? Crazy Americans really grind my gears!

Stupid celebrities who come to Canada and protest our Seal hunt... get your facts together before you start protesting.

Actually, PETA in general grinds my gears. Im not condoning animal cruelty, but most PETA people are over the top fanatics.

Sarah, I'd feel better by making a call to the local police if you got the plate number. Drunken and dangerous driving, trying to ram you, etc...

Pretty sure they'd peg him at the border. (:

Yeah yesteday on the way home from school a newer looking z24 with ALL the riced out accessories (chrome wipers, stick on hoodscoop, type R stickers everywhere and a loud ass fart can exaust) cuts me off and takes off down the road. I thought to myself i'd just let it go, who cares. I travel down Little ave. until i get to fairview, (two lanes down to essa). The z24 is in the right lane and i pull into the left lane since i will be makeing a left turn in about 500m. I shift through the gears and am not even speeding as I pass the z24. The kid driving yells something i couldn't understand (over my music) and then pulls in right behind me as we roll up to the red light. Lights Green. I roll onto essa and move over to the right lane the z24 stays in the left lane, and rolls up beside me. I turn the music down long enough to hear them yell "piece of **** ricer....." and so on. I opt to miss my onramp and take the back roads home (letting me line right up with this kid at the essa lights just ahead of us. The kid calls me a pussy and makes some more comments comparing my car to his stool. lol. Light goes green, I launch real hard, and leave the kid in the intersection. He later passed me going about 120km in a 40km/h zone, giving me the finger. All in all, I have no idea what caused this kid so much anger. Pretty stupid if you ask me.

Today I was on the bus coming home from the college and this young woman with 2 kids was talking to her friend about another girl who they hated. She said very loud "If she got hit by a truck and died I wouldn't care" her 4 year old with her immediately repeats part of this out loud. What kind of moron like this can live with themselves as a parent. Some people should be physically disabled to have kids by the government, to many whackos out there.

Here is what chips my syncros:

1) Morons who are intent on becoming Ketchup by using the highway as their own personal race track. Like tonight on the 401, I saw a red metallic Integra do about 200 in traffic (@130) weaving from the left most lane to the right most lane 3 times in half a kilometer. Idjit!

2) People who signal in one direction and turn in another

3) People who don't signal

4) F U lane squeezers. Especially those who pass the car in front of them which is already merging on the shoulder because the lane ended 20ft ago. Prime spot - DVP south onramp from the westbound 401.
