Where can I get PC194 bulbs in different colours? I just sanded the orange off my gauges and I want to put in different coloured bulbs now, blue if I can find them...

Unless there's a better way of doing it? Is there any place I can buy coloured plastic film that I can put over the clear plastic behind the gauges? that would work too.

Thanks

Adrian, don't bother with those PC194 bulbs. They're pricey to begin with. I can get you a sheet of those colour gel. Let me know what colour you want and I'll see if I have it. I can bring at the next Missy meet.

Thanks guys...

I took Jeremy's advice and got the 194 bulbs from CT. $4.50 for 2 and I needed 6.. not too bad. It's funny, they have the same bulbs in their rice section and they cost $12 for 2.. go figure.

Anyway, if it's not blue enough, then I'll have to get a blue sheet from you Dennis.. Or maybe to even out the light distribution. I'll have to see tonight what it looks like in the dark.

Return those blue bulbs. I bought them a couple of months ago for my galant and they turned green color now mad . I was vexxed when they discoloured only after a few months. Hope you can still return them.

Just go with Dennis recommendation. BTW, Dennis, where do u get those colour gel?

Adrian, those bulbs will appear whitish and like Joe have mentioned, will turn green in time. I'll get you a sheet of colour gel and it won't cost you a cent. wink

Joe, you can get them at Jack Frost Ltd. in Missy or at any band/dj/theatre lighting equipment supplies. cool

Dennis, I'll see you on Thursday smile

Maaannnnn I can't believe I bought them! it's too late to return them now, I had to put them in the plastic socket, which bent all the wires.. plus they're 194B, and have 2 wires on each side, so I had to cut one end. Plus the bulbs I took out of the plastic are garbage now (half were burnt out too..)

I'll just leave them in now. With the blue film, it might start looking interesting when the bulbs turn green smile

I bought mine at CT and they started to change to green as well frown I was using them in my Autometer gauges and they both looked good for about 3 weeks... after that they just got puke ended up taking them out and putting the originals back in.
Is there any way I could get some blue coloured gel? shuffle
