How much would it cost to get a early 1g preped/painted, if it has some rust here and there.

I just want a ball park figure, and I dont really need a BWM level paint job, just a decent black paint job.

Thanks.

$500 paint = shitty job
$1500 paint = decent job
$2500+ paint = good job

BUT, it still depends on the painter's skills. Usually you get what you paid for.

P.S. I don't think BMW level must equals to a excellent paint job..... laugh

You can save a ton of money if you remove a bunch of stuff yourself. When I had my car painted a few years ago I removed ALL the trim, front and rear bumper, mirrors etc and then put them all back on again after. If you do this you'll avoid a lot of masking lines and get a better paint job.
I paid $1700 even then so imagine what it would cost if they did the above.....

My car is in the body shop right now, and he is doing alot of work..(Prep, pull and fill in dents, getting rid of rust, shaving EVERYTHING including panels, putting on rims and lowering my car, and a nice paint job with a maxima pearl) for only 3000 dollars. Plus he does an amazing job, he wants nothing but nice cars coming out of his shop. And he is willing to do it cheap because he knows you dont make alot of money from cars like this. So judging by what i got done in comparison to what you are getting done im saying about 1000 dollars but if you would like his number or to meet up with me to get it estimated please feel free to e-mail me. Anyone else who would like to see this guy please get back to me as well he is a great guy and i am very impressed with his work tu tu
