hey folks

i am trying to clean the car today and I have nothing but grease and salt stains all over the crapt. It is awful,

what do you guys use to take them out?

I used a bit of gasoline for the oil and helped only a bit but not much!

and the salt from winter is also bad, what is the "in car" solution for that?

Thanks

Go to your local grocery store and rent their steam cleaner. Buy some of their appolstry(sp?) cleaner too. Just use HOT water, and keep doing it till the water comes clean. It should get most stuff out, and you wont beleive the muddy water that comes out at first, its gross.

haha nothing can help you now. you could try the carpet cleaners you find at detail shops or use a home one.

Believe it or not, go to Crappy Tire and pick up a bottle of Armor All Oxi magic carpet cleaner.

That S**T is awsome, my mom had salts stains on the black carpet of her sunfire for about three years and that stuff took it right off.

Let it sit for a bit and apply some good old elbow grease and you should be in good shape.

Good luck.

Amin, you used GAS inside the car to clean it LOL, does it smell something toxic in there now?

If that fails, I bought all new carpet from Adam for a surprisingly small fee (like $150 or something like that)
It comes as one big piece, and it's easy to put in.
Voila! brand new carpet, Then you can scotch guard the hell out of it and future stains will be a cinch to remove.

I want an RS4.

I know this is a few weeks old but my floor mats had ground in grease and mud in them (not my dsm) and couldn't get it out. I tried Super Clean from CarQuest in purple spray bottle, let it soak and took the pressure washer to them and they are damn near spotless.

i find a couple cans of brake cleaner loosened everything up and it was easy to get out with a combination of a brush and vacuum cleaner
