Ever since a year ago i bought my 98 gsx with a t3/t4 scm 61 turbo tiall 40 wastegate, i cant get my greddy profec specb to work. Its getting so mad it isnt even funny any more it wont hold boost no matter what i do. Right now i have the end nipple on teh wastegate (there is 2) the one closest to the rad goin in to teh greddy solenoid, and out the other side and down t'd into a line from the factory boost solenoid and into the turbine housing. ANd i can not get this to work right at all. Its giving me good vacume on the greddy head until i have it t'd into the bov line so that fine but i dont know whats goin on down below with the wastegate and slonoid. Can you guys please help me out thanks!

I had trouble reading that - could you read it after you typed it?

First you'll have to more clearly explain what you mean by "not holding boost".

Is it overboosting? No boost control?
Did the Profec ever work?

Use compressed air to the actuator.
Blow into the line off the solenoid.
Try on both sides of the stock solenoid (or just eliminate that altogether).
If the gate doesn't open, you can test the actuator disconnected from the gate.
Might as well disconnect that and check if the gate moves, even as a first step if a compressor isn't convenient.

Where are the other lines on the stock solenoid going to?

In its position in your diagram, and with no other lines on it, it's no wonder you have no boost control!

I'd just eliminate it altogether.
Leave the wires plugged in but no vacuum lines. Cap them off.

actually there is a vacume line going of the stock boost controul solenoid to the turbo nipple that u can see there that i have it t in to, So take the vacume lines of the stock bcs and just have the one of the turbo nipple to the greddy bcs and of the other side to the tial waste gate. There are 2 nipples on the tial waste gate does it make a difference wich one you go to??? Thanks alot!

Is it a ProfecB Spec II?

[Linked Image]
?

If so, this thread was very helpful for me when I was setting up mine

Tuning your Spec II

Once you have all the install done, setting it up isn't too hard. THIS IS IMPORTANT: every time you start the car, you MUST interact with the Profec in some way (I just press the button to toggle between low to high, then back to low) otherwise the unit defaults to it's factory settings.

Your settings for high/low are saved once you set up the profec correctly, but you must interact with the unit every time the unit is activated (ie: start the car).Interact meaning: turn a knob, press a button, whatever you choose

I want an RS4.

Thanks, Mike.

On that note, Jason, you have some reading to do.
I expect you'll be too busy with that, to post anymore jibberish.
