Not a killer story but funny.
I come onto the highway on an onramp and come up beside a rice box civic.
This thing was old school. 88 hatch base model. CX. only 1 mirror on the drivers side, so its lucky if it came with a factory radio.(Although now its probably got a system worth 10 times the car over)
And of course the ever popular fart can out the ass.
So, He sees me and drops it. THe car got louder, but dident seem to go anywheres!!!
And this things probably a 4 speed, so the gears are long as hell!!!
So, I looked over, smiled and simply accelerated. stayed in 5th and was on my way.
Passing lane came to an end and he got trapped behind a potato truck (Hey, I am in Nova Scotia)
I coutinued down the hill. As I came to yet another passing lane, I caught in my mirror the civic passing the potato truck. So, common courtisy, I thought it would be nice of me to slow down so that I would get to the next passing lane the same time he caught up.
I slowed to 90 (its a 100K zone) and he was comming fast, looking to do the all famous flyby can call himself the winner.

As I started up the hill and onto the passing lane, he just pulled out with all his momentium going. I bet he was doing over 180. And he got to about 10 yards or so behind me about to pass, wouldent you know it but a police cruzer crest the hill!!!!
THat poor civics brakes were working overtime now... THat thing did everything but lock its tires up.

He was beside me before he got slowed to my speed. It was all over the road, swaying and everything to get slowed... But, to little to late... THe cruzer did a U turn and he was done... And, I went on with my day!!!

Thats a burn. I have had that on the 401 west bound about bowman ville. except it was a pack.. and 1 went behind me adn 2 beside me
And then i heard rev ups.. and note this was like 2:30 am and i was cruise controling at 105 so it was clear highway except truckers.
So what happened was they would go up sand bag back and the 1 guy stayed behind me.... so when they came back and was going to go forward.. I slammed 3rd gear.. smacked 4th and then was on my way to 5th and 190+km's a hour, And i wish it was day so i could see there face because they pissed right of and didn't even try to catch and then about 20 minutes later they passed me but did nothing just drove by. I kept the dsm purity good.

And sh!t it's not even may and the hondas already are looking like tools as always

You're lucky the officer didn't assume you were racing because you were near that guy and crush your car or take your license or something.

We really dont have all that much of a problem here in the valley. Police gives a hard time about loud exhaust and tinted windows. Thats about the most part.
Lots of modded cars. But lots of modded junk also.
I still see this same civic going, so it couldent og gotten anything to bad.

I was thinking the same thing as Kevin, but the RCMP are pretty good. They have radar that tells both car's speeds, so it would have showed Troy at ~90 and the Civic at 140+. If he was on the highway I think he was, it's called the 'Highway of Death' (mostly because of driver stupidity, and it's only a 2-lane road), so the cops can be a bit touchy with risky driving.

Good thing it wasn't a few minutes later and you were hitting the gas, Troy. *Laugh*
