I've got an autometer a/f gauge, and I wonder if anyone knows where the purple wire on my gauge goes. I understand that it's to the O2 sensor wire, but on my ECU where would i find it, or where is the best place to splice in?

Looks like pin 48 (white wire with black stripe).

So I'm having difficulty with the gauge, when i hook it up to the black/white wire coming from the O2 sensor at the front, but i didn't do it at the PCM/ECU, I did it closer to the sensor. I'm sure it's the right wire, but when i hook it up i get no lights on the gauge, except for when i open the throttle up a lot I get one red bar on the left side. When i unhook it, i get one green bar on the right side, i can't remember what side is what. The gauge is the autometer sport-comp A/F ratio gauge.

Your O2 sensor could be dying. How's your mileage?

Mileage is around 500-550km/tank. How much do you think an up front O2 sensor would cost? I've heard they are expensive but it is retarded easy to get at on my car..

Slowboy list them for 127.00 usd. Probably be about 150 canadian. If local parts stores prices are high. Ziggy is ussually able to service all your DSM needs. smile

I have no Idea if 127 is high or not for that sensor. But hope this helps Eric.

2g awd, Back to dsms here I come.

I'll give the dealership a shout tomorrow, hopefully that'll answer some questions. Thanks.

You can use a voltemeter to check if it's "cycling" as it should.
If so then it must be a gauge or wiring problem.

Well, I got the gauge working, i was retarded and tried to hook it up to the black wire with the white stripe, rather than the white wire with the black stripe.. smooth no? Sensor seems to work well, in neutral reads lean, throttle open reads rich. Otherwise tends to be on the extreme sides of stoich.
