OK, got a good kill story from the race track this weekend.

I work at Mosport Speedway on Saturday nights. (the stock car track) I have been meaning to do King of the Hill for a while now. For those of you who don't know what King of the Hill is; during intermission, spectators can take their street cars out on the oval to race. Two cars start side by side at the front straight and start from a stop. Cars do one lap and the winner crosses the finish line first, obviously....

OK so on this particular night, there were only three entrants, me, a crappy pickup truck and a Nissan 350z. The Nissan raced the truck first and obviously killd it, then it was my turn...

Pull up to the line and the starter waves the green flag. I am having trouble with tuning my car, so it is only at 10psi. This doesn't help my launch, but I had probably 2 lengths on him by the time we got to the first corner. I maintained my lead around the corner and may have increased it slightly in the back straight. I could tell he had a better handling car, because going into the final corners he started creeping up on me. I grabbed the inside lane (to make it harder for him to pass) and downshifted to third and put it to the floor. I heard tires squealing, I'm not sure if it was him or me, but I was pushing it to the edge. Not sure how much I beat him by the end, but I think I had him by a fair bit.

Not the most exiting kill story, but it was the first time on the oval for me, so it was pretty exiting. 250z have close to 260hp right? and would they weigh anymore than an awd 1G? This means when I get it tuned with alchy and up the boost to 20 psi, this will be a fast car. lol

Anyways, I got the trophy, but they jipped me out of the $100 prize money, they said because I work there they can't give me the money. This pissed me off, because I was counting on that money to pay for my speeding ticket from last Wednesday.

Anyways, long story, but I had a fun time. I have pictures to post and I think someone got video of it too.

Some of you guys should come down to Mosport sometime this season. Sometimes the cars are pretty fast (or reckless) but if you come down with a fast AWD car, you could probably take anyone off the line and just stay in front of them in the corners. It would be an easy $100 and a fun time at the track.
I work at the back gate of the race track, so say "hey" when you come in. And the stock car racing is good to watch too.

See you there and keep the racing on the track.

Nice kill Randy, and best of all it was at the track where it belongs. I find it funny that you raced your car to pay off a speeding ticket. I love it. Tell that to the JP lol. The car looks good as always. Just wait till you get it tuned. I wouldn't mind making out to one of these races this summer. I just have to find the time.

Its north of Bomanville 20 minutes. Go to www.mosport.com and then click on the oval track. They have really good races at the road course too though.

To be honest, I thought they would've given a smaller trophy, but after looking at the pics, that's a fair sized one.

Good kill...did it cost any money to enter?

Normal admission is $14, but you need a pit pass to do king of the hill, so it is an extra $6. The prize is $100 for winning though. I have one extra pass every Saturday night. If you let me know you're coming, I can get an extra pit pass.

Do you guys think a 350z weighs close to the same as a awd 1G?
If I had 2 or three lengths on him by corner 1, does this mean I am over 260hp? (I know the awd launch is to my advantage on the start though)
