With that title, this has nothing to do with my ex.
I wanted to adjust my camber on my 97 TSi, so I did the common washer with the longer bolt trick. At the same time I also changed one of the lower control arms...the one that is used to adjust toe in and out (bad balljoint). I got the camber pretty much set, and the toe on the one wheel was a bit out. I took the car for a ride and the car swayed when I gave the steering wheel a little shot either way. It feels almost like I have a broken or missing sway bar. The car was absolutely not like that before I started messing with the alignment stuff.
Just to be clear, I AM supposed to adjust the camber by spacing and changing the bolts in the upper control arm right? The 4 10mm bolts up at the top?
Why would the car be swaying like that? My toe on the one wheel is out quite a bit...but is that what would cause the car to sway.
Any help would be great, I am kinda boggled by this!!
