Mitsubishi Canada offers new 5-year vehicle warranty and 10-year powertrain warranty

Toronto, Ontario - Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada announced it is now offering an industry-leading 10-year/160,000 km Limited Powertrain Warranty, a 5-year/100,000 km New Vehicle Limited Warranty, and a 5-year Unlimited Kilometre Roadside Assistance program.

"We've been very focused on developing vehicles with exceptional design, great handling and superb quality. Now we're building on that by providing a worry-free ownership experience for our customers," said Finbarr O'Neill, president and chief executive officer, Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) "You won't find another competitor so confident in its products and quality that it can offer this peace-of-mind package to customers."

The Mitsubishi 5-Year/100,000 km New Vehicle Limited Warranty extends the original warranty for an additional 2-years or 40,000 km. The 10-year/160,000 km Powertrain Limited Warranty increases the original powertrain warranty by 5-years or 60,000 km. Roadside assistance is also increased to 5-years from 3 and from a previous limit of 60,000 km to unlimited kilometres. The warranty applies to all new 2004, 2004.5 sold on or after October 25 and all 2005 model year vehicles.

The warranty is also fully transferable to future owners. To obtain warranty service, customers should bring their vehicle to any authorized Mitsubishi Motors dealerships or authorized service centre where service for any warrantable repair will be performed without charge for parts and/or labour

(ahem...cough, cough)
Does this include (cough) owners of previous Mitsubishi products who (ahem) suffer from Crankwalk? or will they get swept under the carpet along with all the other crap that Mitsubishi is trying cover?

Sorry, in one form or another, someone was bound to bring that up.... I just had to get that out. wink

Car makers only offer great warranties when their sales (and reputations) are going to hell.

Are Mitsubishi's sales so bad? They really don't have a reputation here yet. But last month they sold 902 cars/suv's. Thats not so bad. This new warranty should sell many more Mitsubishi's. Looks what it did for Hyundai.

at first, people bunched mitsubishi into a category with honda, toyota and nissan (jap. car maker, you can drive the balls off it and it'll smile back at you and ask for more (like your mom hoyoo)).

then they found out how much the cars suck. :]

plus, the cars look so dated... let see, a galant or an accord or a maxima. which one doesn't look like it was built in 1993.

Man, you guys just hate Mitsu huh? I personally LIKE the new Galants. The Maximas and Accords WERE dated until their latest redesigns.

Guy I work with has a brand new Galant. Its not bad looking, but it is kind of... generic? Uninspired? Something like that. I don't hate it but I don't exactly like it.

Now mitsu can go to hell, specifically, for their idea of a 3G "Eclipse" tongue

it's not just that their dull looking.

it's the fact that they haven't given anyone a reason to switch brands.

why drive a mitsu midsize/compact, when you can get a mazda 3, which is priced low, always in the top 3 and car of the year all the time.

i'm not even gonna mention the 3g eclipse.

The Evo and nothing else is what makes Mitsu great right now.

Thier extreme stroke of brilliance in the creation and developement of a little lump we like to call the 4g63 is also a reason for love.
