It looks very noticeable in the pics because I'm taking a picture of JUST the knob. That place always has a ton of cars.... I was contemplating whether to go or not. It is a long drive for me, and I only had parts for TWO people...less than $100. worth of parts in total (which translates to maybe $15. worth of profit). Definitely not worth the trip, BUT.... One of the guys also had something he wanted to exchange... the other guy I was supposed to see, I had a custom shift knob done for him (for 6 speed Subura STi - it needs special clearance underneath for a reverse lockout ring), and I really wanted to see how that fit. Also, I wanted to buy an intercooler kit from Jamie Loo, so I decided to make the trip after all... The day started badly, was running late...then the damn weather....Everyone slows down to 60kph and puts their 4 ways on.....but do they get out of the passing lane? Of course not!!! I got to Yorkale at 12:45, after doing insane speeds wherever traffic permitted.....no-one there (well, 2 young fellows waiting for Jamie Loo). Not a single DSM anywhere in sight. I waited for a good half hour, and just as I was about to leave, Jamie Loo pulled in. Of course, the way today went, he didn't have what I wanted. The other two guys, well, maybe they had been and gone, but they didn't call my cell phone. So, on this trip I accomplished a big fat ZERO. Then, the trip home. Apparently the guy who designed the Red Hill Creek Expressway never thought about a hard rain. It washed out the QEW at Hamilton COMPLETELY. ALL LANES CLOSED. for a good 45 minutes we didn't move at all. Then, we all slowly crawled into East Hamilton. That ENTIRE part of the city was a disaster. I had to get up the escarpment and all the way to 20 road before I could find a road that went east that wasn't totally congested. I made it home by 6:30pm.
