I know this has been discussed in the past, however what are everyone's thoughts on a massive DSM Spring cruise from Point A to Point B.

Points to be determined.

Something like this has been done in the past, however any thoughts/interest in a massive Club DSM Canada Spring cruise?

I'd be down with it. I would say if we could Take cruises on some back roads that would be good. The 401 is fun and that. But its the same thing, bridge, center divider, bridge, speed trap.

Either way though I would be in.

Randy... there's me and... Me who owns a running, modded DSM up here AFAIK.

So, yes. Hell, I'll be down there to race, considering there's no tracks up here wink

Did you get those pistons?

sounds like fun Ryan.

How about a cruise through states? Myself and some other DSMers were considering a cruise to Florida and stay there for a few days.

Im sure it would be fun to boot down with a couple of cars no??

What are your opinion guys? What do you think?

Um... I'm thinking a day trip. Most have other commitments, and it's rather $$$$ to do that.

Plus, our cruise to the states, we stop in Ohio for a weekend. wink

So if we did GTA-Trenton-Prince Edward County-S-ville in Mid May, would that work?

I'll be coming from Sudbury, down 69 to 400, so anyone in Aurora, Barrie and North of Toronto we could meet up along the way.

Someone bring a video camera, so we can host a video.

The first earliest date would be May 10,2008. It's a Saturday night Test and Tune at Shannonville. Rain Date is July 5, 2008.

There are ones earlier, however most won't have their cars up and running until end of April/Early May, including MEEEE!!!

Yes, of course!

If we are going to do this, I would like to lay down some ground rules.

1: Rules of the road MUST be followed. No excessive speeding, no weaving etc.

2: Everyone should have a 2 way radio handy. I have 2 and can lend one, this will make it easier if someone gets lost.

3: You must wash your car before you head out. Gots to make it look purdy.

4: You are responsible for the person behind you. Meaning if he/she falls back because of a light, breaks, gets cut off, then no one gets left behind.

5: For those with DSMLink, if you are going to do a 3rd gear pull to do some tuning, let us know and we'll get out of your way.

Just to start. If anyone wants to add to this list, go for it.

Cell numbers work.. but I don't have a cell, and going down to the S/O in 2006, 2 ways worked well.

Shannonville is pretty good. They don't tech the cars, so Kevin you can run 11.0's all night long without a cage. wink

The only thing I don't like is the giant dip at the 330 mark, and the track is pretty dark. But you get to do some Road Racing on the way back. smile

That was the plan wink. Go to Cayuga until I get booted and then run the rest of the year at S-ville naughty

Nah, there's a bit of a dip in the track right at the 330 mark or so. The track isn't as smooth as St Thomas or Cayuga, but it's a good track, usually well prepped.

The T+T nights usually cater to the pros racing the following day, and they lay some nice rubber down on the track, making it great to hook up.

Everything sounds right. I still have the walkies from the peckerhead shootout Ryan. So I will have an extra one. I also like the Idea of ending up at the track.

p.s. If I don't have my paint fixed by then. If its to shamefull I will just meet up at the Track.

How about the guys from the West come east for a change. I really like the prince edward county idea. I would think it would only be appropriate to stop at a picnic area or something and have a BBQ before heading to the track that late afternoon. I have a couple portable bbq's all we need is some Cowboy steaks.

I haven't had a cruise through the county since I was a kid, going with my parents. I hear there is a very nice area where there is a lake on top of a big hill and lake Ontario is really close by. No one understand why it is there.

So lets set a date and make it happen!

We could even have a little swap meet (swap some parts, get everyone a map of the route, get a phone list of everyone etc then head out) at my place in the morning. Then from there head through Brighton, Carrying Place, Murray Canal etc to get to the County.

Yes, that works! We could go to Adam's place, meet there, and then go through Brighton, Carrying Place, Murray Canal etc. Take Highway 33 to Picton, hit up Sandbanks parking lot (if it's open) eat, then take Highway 62 through to Belleville, and head to Shannonville.

Beer and wings after the track at Boston Pizza or something.
