Ok, so here's the date:

May 10, 2008

According to Shannonville's website, there is a test and tune that night, and it is on a Saturday. Hopefully everyone's car will be up and running.

Tentative Route:

I will be travelling down Highway 69 to 400 straight to Toronto. We can set a meeting point in Oshawa to caravan to Adam's place.

From there, we could go down highway 2 to Trenton and meet up with Giz and anyone coming from the East. Meet in the Wal-Mart parking lot at the corner of Highway 2 and 2nd Doug Hill Road.

From there we can go down highway 33 through Carrying Place, to Picton, then to Sandbanks Provincial Park and eat.

Head on out through Bloomfield up Highway 69 to Belleville, and then onto Highway 2 to Shannonville.

Race!

Head on over to Boston Pizza after the races to have some wings/beer and go from there.

Please note to all from the GTA, the races end at 11PM, so if you are coming and plan to stay the whole night, note the times.

Timings are going to be important. The races start at 5, and if we want to be there around then, we need to start early. Early as in we would have to leave Oshawa no later than 10, and including the stop at Adam's, we're looking at hitting Trenton at about 11 or so.

Getting to Sandbanks is about an hour, and eating/cooking we can bank on 3 hours.

Sandbanks to Shannonville is about 1.5 hours.

Any thoughts?

I will meet up at Adam's house. If he doesn't mind me showing up Early. I'll make sure he wakes up. Everytime I have met up there in the morning the kid is usually still sleeping =]

This sounds like a great plan but unfortunately I'll definitely be working that day. Too bad 'cause it'd be sooo nice to finally go east for a change rather than boring city/401 driving.

Prince Edward county is beautiful, you guys from Toronto and west should definitely come for this meet, you'll enjoy it for sure.

If there's another one after June 1st I'd be there in a heartbeat. Ah well, have fun boys, stay outa trouble.

Don't be a nancy call in sick! I would reccomend this event be made a sticky so that we have a clear spot to find the info. Updates could be made if necessary, put the route up, itinerary etc.

Believe me I'd love to but for the months of April and May I put my Nancy pants on six days a week. I'd never catch up if I missed a day but the good thing is I'm done by 3pm on Saturdays and would make it out to Shannonville at least.

Damn that sucks!

I head the logistics department at a sister farm for a large tree nursery (multi million $$$) and we do 80% of our business in the months of April and May. So, needless to say, it's VERY busy in the spring. Getting off at noon might be an option though so I'll try to push for that.

Come see me in the middle of the summer, we can do a meet on a Wednesday no problem!

This will be a good event though, I hope lots of people check it out.

Well, if you get off at noon, you'd be able to join the group. Come for the races at Shannonville. It's going to be a DSM Dominating night there. wink

Actually I'm not even sure what I'll be running this year. One thing I can say, it will be some new technology not on the market as of yet pimp

I'm in. Sounds like a great time. We should make up a meeting place in the GTA for guys coming from the West. Yorkdale or some place like that. I will be coming from Mississauga/Brampton area. We could start a Caravan heading East and make another stop in Oshawa area and meet up with some guys there.

Ryan this would give you a meeting spot as well. Your welcome to crash at my place the night before to save you coming from Sudbury the same day.

Hey man, that works! I would definitely be down for that.

If you are coming from the West, we'll meet in Missy. If you're coming from the North, we'll meet in Oshawa.

I'm thinking that everyone should meet in Missy at around 9AM. We can meet at Square One, just because it's close to the 403, which is close to the 401 and I'm sure most coming from Brampton will be on the QEW anyway, swing onto the 403. We can meet at the far North parking lot at the very corner of Rathburn Rd and City Center Dr. It's nice and big, and far from the mall, where there will be lots of space.

The hour or so to Oshawa will put us there at 10AM. I'm thinking meet at the Timmies on Thickson Rd by 10AM.

If you live further East of Oshawa (P-dot, Cobourg etc..) meet at Adam's place.

We should be at Adam's place within about 45 minutes of leaving Oshawa. Adam's to Trenton is about 15 minutes, putting us at Wal-mart by 11.

These times are pretty specific. There is a buffer of about 10 minutes, so if you're not there by 9:10 in Missy or 10:10 in Oshawa, we're gone.

You can catch up to us on the 401 wink

As we get closer to "The Date" I would like to get everyone's Email Address to email you some info as per times, route, radio channel etc.

403 to Thickson should only be about 45 minutes MAX on a weekend. Especially on a weekend at 9am. Either way. I don't care when or where we meet up in the City. Whatever works best for the majority.

Mapquest showed 55 minutes, so I figured an hour max. By the time everyone gets there and all, it should be about that.
