I might be able to make this trip, I'll watch for you guys in Belleville and follow from there, it would be nice to see everyones cars not to sure about some of you though!jk.

I won't be taking the same way as Ryan or I would tag along, I'll be heading east on hwy 17, to Petawawa, then through the Ottwawa Vally(nice ride) to Barrys Bay, Bancroft, Belleville... anyone that wants to tag along, I'll be running the white 1GB Eclipse, and I doubt the other two DSM's in Mattawa will be ready to come.

We'll see.

Hey Malcolm, see if you can't hook up with the Ottawa guys for the rip down. Kingston as well. It's kind of nice to see everyone show up in a group.

It's to far out of my way to hit Ottawa(I'd like too), I have some old friends to visit in the Peterborough county area on the 9th(I grew up there).

So if it is the 10th of May I could easily meet up with you Jay , that would be good and we'd go from there. This would include the out of the way cruise to S-ville I hope because I've never been around this area and would love to see a bit more of the province,, hint, hint, Jay I don't know my way around but I'm sure I could find you!

I'm gonna check the map you guys posted earlier again.

You're coming down 17 right? Are you going down 41 through Renfrew?

On an unrelated note, what will the working conditions be like if we break down at the track? Is there some sort of garage? I've never been to a track before so I have no idea..

odds are with the amount of dsmers there you will be in good hands. As for shops I think the closes place would be belleville.

The "spring cruise" title sounds a little 'ghey' don't you think? How'bout "DSM Invasion II". A few years back one of the local GTA DSM shops organized a similar event which I believe was a success. The name of the get together was...you guessed it 'DSM Invasion' A bunch of Ottawa area DSMr's hooked up with GTA ones and I think it spanned an entire weekend. I don't think it would be too late for an event name change. Just a thought......

Guessing it's Scott Neville's motor? Hmmm, you could easily fit a longblock in the back of a car as long as the car has a hatch. Truck would be best, but it all depends on how desperate you are. wink

and yes, it's his block, woo, thanks to him!

Hmm I don't quite think I will have my car done. Got stuck tonight helping out my brother in law with his cavalier. Still need to drop engine in and then I would be looking for a safety and e-test. I was going to get a sight unseen safety but my source is no longer interested in doing this.

It'll probably be done the following weekend lol, so who wants to bring me a long in there ride? I have a camera and am good at taking pictures.

Saturday's looking like rain boys.

NOO!!!

Should we schedule a rain date just in case? Or do we do the cruise anyway and hope Shannonville doesn't shut down?

Belleville is still calling for partly cloudy, the county is calling for rain and their weather is usually little different, so I could se it being dry in Belleville and raining for the cruise, as for a rain date, probably a good idea.

kingston is calling for parly cloudy sat/sun as well, so at this point would call it a crap shoot to see if the weather is good or not, but also a few days away from panic, we all know the forcast for the weekend isn't right at this point.

Yeah, that's true Tim. Yesterday it was showing sunny with no chance of rain.

We could set a rain date of the weekend of the Yorkdale meet. Everyone meet at Yorkdale and we could just go for a cruise somewhere, maybe do the full out DSM Invasion later in the summer if it rains.

I know most will have plans for May long weekend, so I don't want to schedule it then, as I already have plans.

Well either way unfortunately the talon isn't going to be on the road. I'll meet up with you at trenton if it does happen. I'll have my bros neon. Then I will be there at shannonville at night my friends running his new 180sx.

When I get a talon again. I may be awd now though. If the current one I am looking at goes through.

Reschedule! So I can join with my car! I'm like one week off, I'm back to work at the air base and we've been super busy, I've been working on the car solidly but I am just not as fast at putting this stuff together as some.

If the reschedule is like end of the month I MIGHT have my next talon. But its looking like I will just get my colt on the road and continue working on the talon till its Done.

Adam, looks like we both going to be going AWD now. Never thought I'd see the day.

No about 2g list of parts. At best. Plus the rust is really bad brake lines and gas lines behind the front wheel all bad.

The parts needed before I would feel safe are still listing 1g if I do it myself. I might of found a rolling awd 4bolt rear end. with no engine or tranny for 500. Which means I'll only be a tranny away from it being on the road.

Mines looking doubtful as well. No time and last weeks weather was shitty, too shitty to work on.

I'm a pipe, some interior wiring and a battery away from firing it up. She's on all fours now and rolling but the interior is in pieces. Oil's in, coolant is in, but no power and all my gauges aren't wired up.

you guys make me sad inside... frown

looks like 40% rain, but probably not enough to have the track close though. Kind of like today here. Few drops now and then, cleared up eventually. Not even close to enough to make the street look like it even drizzled.

cmon! you can do it! my talon and I believes in you guys!

Well the talon I might be getting might be with Helder. With no engine or tranny. Its a 1gb which might just be my favourite body style.

Definately won't have it for friday or sat. Maybe next friday if all works well.

NOO!!!

Should we schedule a rain date just in case? Or do we do the cruise anyway and hope Shannonville doesn't shut down?

We should really schedule a rain day, imo
