Trick is to scratch your nails in the Orange cleaner.

you park strategicaly because you have 2, 4, or R, and dont want to have to ask a friend to push the clutch while you manually pull the shift cable into R under the hood..

i've recently invested in a nail brush, thank you very much.

also, when you carry more tools around with you in your car than you do in your garage.

short of an engine swap, i have enough tools in there to handle pretty much anything.

Bahh, they aren't. Jobmate and Mastercraft. I have a nice big tool bag with EVERYTHING short of a jack, as well as my 1/2" torque wrench.

ya, i have an extra 100lbs or so of tools (incl. a FULL jack and 2 foot socket wrench)

sucks when you have street parking. it's easier to carry them in my hatch than to lug them to my car each time i need them (often).

When you tell someone you own a Talon and the first reply is always.....So you are a pretty good mechanic then!!!!!

When you never want to park in a friends driveway that is paved or interlocked cause you are guaranteed to get your ass kicked for the oil stain.

When you go on a road trip and luggage is kept to a grocery bag because you need room for every spare part short of an engine block and the tools required for such an operation.

Ha ha, you should see where I park on my driveway.

I thought of another good one:

You are constantly telling people to not worry about that sound your car just made.... (bov, shutterbox, driveshaft hangers loose)

When you carry a two ton jack, stands, toolbox, clutch slave cylinder rebuild kit, 1700 Peak Amp 12 Volt Jump Starter, every fluid just in case and a fully charged cellphone.

When you carry your laptop cause when your battery dies you need to set your dsmlink again.

When you hack up an exhaust shield to protect your alternator because it keeps dying and when it dies you make it home with voltmeter reading of 9volts.

When you try not to drive when its 30+ because you dont want to overheat your car.

When you set off every alarm on your street.

When your parents driveway is turning into a sand box (fluid leaks).

When you run out of space for parts and your beaters a temporary shed.

When you run out of 200k CAA tows and know you assume your bro's name.

When your parents are constantly telling you to sell your car and buy a honda.

MM I maybe be a civilian contractor yes.. I maybe have offerd that YES.. But really. WOULD ANY OF YOU GO OVER TO SUPPORT OUR TROOPS, ANYONE OF THE AGE OF 18 WHO WISHES TO GO OVER AND THEN COME BACK PLEASE DO SAY I WILL GET YOU A JOB... O AND ALSO I WASN"T ALLOWED BACK BECAUSE I SHOW SIGNS OF PTSD... So really why don't you all lay off.. Like i got my slap in the mouth. I have stopped. and now you guys carry on. I think personal i carried out something good. I went over volunteering at the age of 18 got hired by DND to go over. Went an cleaned someones brains out of a tank. 2 of my friends got blown up and got bombed for 2 days and had a concussion from one of the bombs. So would anyone else like to speak?. Because If this is just like that bullshit LSS forum from kingston where everyone talks here but when i go to them in person it's choke choke choke. I will have a sit down talk with you over some coffee if you wish!

Thanks
Sven

How come you got bombed? For 2 days?? Arn't you with cancap? lol even some of my buddies who were on force protection never had that much heat. I was pretty sure that cancap guys stayed within the walls since they had no combat training whatsoever. Thats why I'm suprised you even heard an ied go off.

Sorry for the loss of your friends. What country were they working for?

EDIT: Cleaning out human remains from tanks??? I'm REALLY suprised that they let civies anywhere near that scene..

I am also sorry for the loss of young lives, but also still tired of the "poor me, I was shot at" stuff. There are a lot more people killed on our own roads each day...how about some pity and respect for me because I have to go out there and drive on our dangerous roads each day? I could sit down and tell you about crashes I have been in and seen.....
And now it turns out you are not even Military? You CHOSE to go over there..so stop asking for sympathy...
And we can SUPPORT our troops WITHOUT going over there and being shot at....I personally don't consider you a hero, but a whiner!

Wow guys, let up a little. A little jab was thrown at some of the posts he's made here recently. I didn't even think it was in poor taste.

But to start flagging the guy for what he did or did not have to face overseas... take that off the board, it has no place here.

Sorry Mike....but I can have sympathy for what he had to face, just not for his attitude. This guy seems to feel that he has now paid his dues for his whole life and everyone should pity him forever for what he has faced... and that I don't buy.

I am not even sure what "flagging" is, and if I have done something wrong, I apologize. I thought I was merely expressing my opinion...a privilege that we have largely because of the people who HAVE laid down their lives for us.

So is now a bad time to come back in with:

when mod/replacement/upgrade purchases outweigh your monthly payments on your last new car you got rid of to get something that was 'paid off'

When you can understand the following:

The POS DSM threw a CEL, and my WB show's a lean A/F. The CEL was code 14, TPS. I have been having some I/S, replaced the TBSS, BISS o-ring, IAC, TPS, CTPS, did a BLT, and now I'm leaking from my SMIM (Damned Magnus...). I thought I had a bad CP because I had a misfire at high RPM, so I changed it. Now it sounds like a leaky BOV under boost! I've adjusted my MAF-T, tightened my bolts on the CHRA to the C/S of the Turbo, the EX MANI has no leaks, and my WG is fine. Perhaps I should check the FMIC for BL's on my next BLT? I suspect a BL because my GM MAP shows 10 PSI, but the MAFRAW is sky high! My MAF is pre-turbo, because I don't like venting the BOV.
