I have a fun, but rust-ridden 1997 TSI AWD.
It's been a great winter car, and I love it.

But, truthfully, it's worth little because of the rust.
So I'll be parting it out, including the engine which runs well.
Probably looking at parting out, end of March.

Also how much for the oem spoiler/wing?

Hows the interior on the car?
Would be interested in a few items.
I'm guessing gray?

The interior is gray.
Unfortunately, there IS a fair amount of wear on the Driver-side leather powered seat. Little on the passenger seat. Back seats are (as all Talons?) immaculate.

All purchases will be prior confirmed with photos, so that you know what you're getting, and what shape it's in.

I'll take the rear plastic interior paneling. Mine is broken on the passenger side. Also I need the engine hood latch and cable.

Is the car in the pic your Talon?

Cause that looks exactly like my car btw??
I know it came from Ontario, 3 years ago, its a 98.
Supposedly silver was rare so if anybody knows
where it came from send the details.

Cheers

Quick note:
I am getting everyones messages, and their posts here.
I'll try to respond as quickly as I can.

Please have patience though, as currently the car will be parted out in more than 20 days, but my kitchen looks like this:

[Linked Image]
(You'll notice the distinct lack of any kitchen).

I'll try to sort everything out this, or next week.

Enough that I'm parting out the car?
I can take pictures of the rust spots sometime.

Though I love it as a winter car. Put 225 R17 Nokian RSIs on it, and have been having a blast.

just wondering because a buddy of mine has the infamous 2g shock tower rust and could possibly take a shell, a bit of rust he should be able to deal with.

If you get some free time post up some pictures of the rust and will go from there.

It is still going ahead, starting late this week.
And the hatch has significant rust on the lower edge, Ziggy. Honestly, not really what they should be buying.

And a few interior parts, such as passenger door panel and a few switches.

Let me know if these can be had and the price smile

Helber: 5spd.

Ziggy: My pleasure smile

Ryan: Weird, I sent you a message, but I can see that it didn't ... materialize? I know I sent you one this morning, but I can't see it as sent. I'm only at 119/200.

You're more than welcome to lay claim to the 2G Wiring harness, and yes, I take the Silver Talon to the track. I have a good friend who owns a 768 hp Camaro (it appeared at Cayuga last year, but has since gotten an upgraded engine), so we generally go together and enjoy watching each other run. I do still get a few strange looks when I park with the Nostalgia (ONDR - 60s, 70s cars) crowd, hahaha :D, but they're good. Have a friend with a 330 awhp Subby that might join me too - he gives tuning lessons every so often.

Lol, sorry Miguel.
Ya, those aren't spoken for yet, as far as I can tell. I'll look back through all my PMs. I knew a bunch of shafts were. Obviously, I'm trying to sell the stuff I have to get to first, quickly, so it might take a week or two.

But I promise, I do note the requests in order wink
And I still owe ya one for that fun stereo. smile

For all intents and purposes, yes.
I'll still need a day to recover from being sick for 5 days (?! Never been sick more than 2 my entire life), and then ya.

I did, however, manage to take off that high rise wing last night in sheer boredom, so Murtaza will be happy. Almost made me wish I'd done an eclipse conversion - they do have fine lines smile

And then I owe about 5 people, including you, Miguel, a bunch of responses and items. Ghis has got a few things ear marked, as do you, as does everyone smile
