I have a 1990 plymouth laser turbo and i was wondering if i would qualify for that timing belt recall. I was also wondering if you are not the origonal owner of the car, would this still be available??
THanks

The recall was done on my 90 laser RST in '91...so, you should qualify even if arent the original owner.

does it matter how many km's are on the car?? or if you already changed the belt?

Hello.

It does not matter if you are not the first owner, the Recall "belongs to the Car".

Does not also matter how many ks the Car has.

You just have to drop in at your local Satan and ask them to check the VIN# of your Car for outstanding recalls.

Have a look at the Exhaust Manifold. Dealers mark the Heat Sheild with a white "T" if the recall was done on the Car.

Hope this helps.

Ghislain.

When they do the t-belt recall, do they change all pullies, the tensioner, the b-shaft belt and the waterpump?

If not it's probably a better idea to do it yourself and replace all those parts while you're in there..

Awww, crap,
I wish I read this post earlier, I just spent $300 on t-belt parts and now when I called they said there is a timing belt recall to be done on my car..
I was hoping for a O2 sensor recall, but none frown I wonder why.. my car is a 92.. and the O2 sensor did die..
