Intake support stand?
Is that the three point bracket that goes near the throttle body?
You don't need it! A fine example of Mitsubishi's over-engineering smile

yes it bolts to the block and then to the bottom of the intake. I dont need to use it? isnt it to prevent vibration which will loosin up bolts on the intake?

You don't need it.
I drive pretty hard, and my intake is still together tu
Rarely do I see a modded DSM with that piece in place.

The intake Support stand? You don't need it? Thought maybe you would. This is the piece UNDER the intake where your knock sensor is right?

yes. im just going by what rob said. I would have thought that because of the extra vibration without the support that it would loosen up the intake bolts?

Sorry Ryan, I was referring to the one beside the throttle body, not the one beneath the intake manifold in the middle (which it sounds like you're really after).

Anyhow, I think I am missing both smile
I could see why it's a good one to have, though.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. It supports the Intake manifold underneath it.

The one Rob was referring to was the bracket you use when you hoist your engine out, it's bolted to the CAS and Throttle Body Elbow.
