Hey Mike,
Where did you mount your Coolant bottle? I'm getting a FMIC with short route piping installed tomorrow and I want to steal your idea of where to put it.

Mike I'll get you a pic. It's down in the lower splash cover held on with these super thick tie wraps. It seems just as solid as the OEM setup. I ran the car for about a month before coming up with this solution though lol. I had to add coolant every couple of weeks.

Thanks for the kind words. What do you figure for the VC? I'd love to have it powdercoated, but no one does that locally. I'm just not sure if paint would hold up too well. Also I'm not sure what colour to go with. Black most likely. I'm trying to make the engine bay more lowkey. I just picked up Taylor 8mm Spiro Pro wires in that pic in black smile They look OE.

Oh, here's why I'm still rolling on factory wheels...

[Linked Image]

My race wheels (17x8 Rota Torques) and tires (Nitto NT01) have blown my rim/tire budget for a while frown If only I could drive them on the street as well. Oh well! They get me around the corners quickly when it counts!

Yeah let me see. My car is at the shop right now and he said he'll figure something out, but if you're idea is better, I'll just do that instead.

I have short route on my 2ga and I never had to relocate the coolant bottle. I am sure it would look better relocated though.

Mike. Nice looking car. Same colour as my 2ga only I don't have the Eclipse front bumper. Definately a nice touch. How long have you had the car for and who did you buy it from? It looks very familiar.

My ticket to 10's I hope.

Fresh shafts, bearings, all synchros including double synchro 2nd gear, welded diff and a clutch that doesn't slip. I will need to get used to the shorter 1st gear though as I had a taller Galant 1st and never even knew it.

A little help in the intake department to get there as well

Here is what happens when you try to rev to 9000 rpm, snap a front motor mount bolt which wiggles its way out of that little hole and lands in the alternator belt which eventually winds up smashing the fack out of your hood.

Im sure they tell you that so you dont go and find all the imperfections in the paint job. Do yourself a favor now, go over it and make sure everything is the way it should be.

I've given the car a few look overs for imperfections and haven't seen anything significant. They tell me this because the paint actually takes a long time to dry, and needs to breathe. The guy who did this is a good guy and wont screw with me, I've had a friend deal with him in the past and he has been nothing but good, especially with touch ups if they are needed.

Yep, we figured if we were going to go ahead and snap a shot, we may as well make sure everyone knew that the camera was going to be used. Wouldn't want to catch anyone off guard tongue

You should leave out the bottom headlight bolts when you put it back together.

I still havent gotten them %##^S out so either of the bumper or headlight bolts are no way goin back in, makes it a lil easier when I get a FMIC, 5 broken bolts and a stripped screw head later and that bolt refuses to mate with my socket!!!! (anyone know a better than stock fix for all my broken fender to bumper bolts) well outside I go for some more fun.....

Just thought I would post some pics and see what you guys think of my car. I know the taillights aren't for everyone but I think they suite it. Anyway good or bad, let me hear it! I'm going to change the rims as soon as I can afford to.

Clean car Ryan, nicer rims will make the car look even better. Actually the taillights look nice with the color of the car.
Was someone standing behind the car in the last picture?

I'd probably scrap the fog lights, they don't suit the car IMO, or they would look better further apart from each other.

IMO, I would find a stock Talon center light and paint it black, leave the 2 euro corners.

I agree about the fog lights, they look kinda cheap (canadian tire ish) and I think I will make the center of the lights black when I can. thanks for the feedback guys I appreciate it. This pain in the a$$ car has been a 3 year project so far and I kinda hope it never ends. (at least till I win the lotto and get a gt3 rs)
