I just got shafted!!!!

I was on the highway doing about 120-130 going onto the 403 from the 401 and as I was driving I saw a cop parked on the left hand shoulder... I was in my mothers Jeep liberty by the way...

On my right i was being passed fairly quickly by a mazda protege, tan in color.

I look back in my rear view and see the officer pull onto the highway so I make my way to the right lane and slow down to let him pass me to catch the protege...

But no, He pulls me over and asked why I was doing 151???????????

I asked him if he even saw the protege as he ignored what I said asking for my liscence and proof of insurance.

I then had to walk home from where the jeep was towed on the side of the highway.
The jeep is being impounded for 7days and I got a court date and 7 day suspension.

I realize I was speeding.. ok fine, but 151?? Come on!

What do you guys suggest?...

Thanks,

Any suggestion I could make would be illegal...but I DO NOT mourn whenever I hear of a cop being killed...

this is the perfect example of why this law is SOOOO wrong!

If there was some way of PROVING you were not doing 151 I would say go after the government BIG TIME....but, unfortunately, there is likely NOTHING you can do. It will likely come down to the word of a liar cop against yourself...and for some crazy reason, the courts don't recognize that cops are liars..

I suggest that you go and speak with those firms that claim to beat any ticket or your money back type of thing. I think you have a legitimate case in your hands so why not give it a try.

Did the monkey show you the radar gun or prove that you were doing 151?

Do they have to show you proof in Ontario? If I remember correctly in Quebec, if you ask to see the radar they have to otherwise they cannot ticket you?

I had a case similar to his thrown out of court a couple of years back when I was living in K/W, a Z24 passed me coming u under a bridge underpass, thrown out because resonable doubt was cast, but in sesse there was no admission that they had pulled ove the wrong car. Fight it, you will probably beat it, but as srtated, it wont do anything to get the car out of impound in the next 7 days, nor will you ge back the cash from towing/impound, or the cost of fighting the ticket. Just wondering if someone is charged under the law, fights the ticket, is found not guity, I wonder what the result of then launching a civil suit to recoup the cost of tow/impound, and the loss of the vehice for 7 days would be?

And in Ontario they do not have to show you the reading on the gun.

Thats what I had thought.

In any case though, I'd be willing to bet he radar'd the Protege and the idiot nailed you instead.

Either way, I believe strongly that police should provide you with the proof that you we're speeding. Just because they are officers of the law doesn't mean they can be trusted.

I'd be fighting it if I were you. I know the chances are slim, but I hope you caught the license plate of the madza? In any case, the way the radar works leaves for some error. It will lock on the fastest moving target (assuming they're using the same radar I do), and it's up to the officer to pull over the correct vehicle. Obviously in this case there was error in judgement on the officer's part. The problem lies in proving it. Take it to court, get your full disclosure ASAP (go to the court and request it). Good luck.

No, they do not have to show you the reading on the Gun but they have to show you the record if you ask. I presume that is what Chris is refering to.

I was tagged in similar circumstances, that was way back in 2002. I went to court and tried to prove to the judge that it was the other car that was speeding at the said "velocity". Their was two cops there; 1 that was operating the gun and the other that was writing the readings. Both said that it was me that was speeding. Their was nothing that I could do to give the judge a doubt. Long story short I was found guilty.

Prepare your case, that is all I have to say.

Ghislain.

You made two mistakes Aaron. First, you slowed down too deliberately which made you appear as the guilty party and secondly you answered the copper's question with a question.

You want us to believe that the copper pulled over the wrong motorist doing 151k/hr. Why should we believe you over the pig?

Go to court and tell the judge that the officer's fly was open and he wasn't wearing his hat. If you're convincing enough "your worship" will throw out the charges. Good luck.

Actually get the computer of the jeep scanned, it should tell you the last speed it was doing.

They do this alot of times when accidents occur. Also challenge the radar and ask them to prove it was you. If they cannot provide substantial proof, that is doubt and you ask for the case to be dismissed. Challenge everything, challenge even the accuracy of the radar, did they use tuning forks before and after they clocked "you"? Do they have calibration records etc. Do this on the day of your trial and they will not have the evidence, because they would never think to bring calibration records, all you need to do is create reasonable doubt and your case will be dismissed. Its called an ambush approach and likely would be the only saving grace in your situation. Do not go to points or any of those assholes, they get no better deals then if you were to go in yourself and talk to them.

Oh and also, if it was raining and they were using the Ka doppler radar they cannot prove it was you or the rain.. also radar does not pick a target, it is whatever passes in front of it. Also if they were using Lidar that is a more accurate radar system, you will need disclosure to get all the info about the equipment they were using on that day. Then build your case from there.

^^ Agree.. fill out the paperwork with the Crown attorneys office. Getting disclosure will give you some insight into what this cop was thinking, it wil give you any radar proof as well as the officers notes for the night.

These Xcopper guys are usaully pretty good at taking away the suspended license charge and lowering the fine value to the min of $2000.

My friend got a similar ticket a week ago. If you want i can keep you updated on how that goes. Best bet for going to court is to make notes and revisit the sceen of the ticket. Look for any proof/ position of the two cars that could put doubt in the mind of the judge.

Good luck man

Thanks for the tips guys.

I'm definatly going to fight it, Whether I represent myself or not.
It was an Opp officer and he actually wasn't wearing his hat.

I was planning on buying a car on monday aswell, but now that this has happened, I dont think I should... as much as I want to.

Interesting aswell that the officer was not willing to give me a lift home or even off of the highway for that matter, I had to ask tow truck driver...

So I can go into court tommorow and request the disclosure? or do I not have to wait until Oct31, my court date?..

Thanks,
Aaron.

Hire one of those xcoper guys. Do not try to things on your own. That's just my opinion.

They will get the disclosure documents and advise you on what to do next.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do smile

One week is generally the amount of time an officer is alotted to drop everything off to the court. So in a week get disclosure. Make sure you get a copy of everything they have against you.

Thats really good material.

On my ticket it says that I was charged with "stunting-Excessive speed. 151km/h in a 100km/h zone.
Section 172(1)or it could be an (I)...

I thought that 50 over was under the street racing act? Is it not?

Thanks,

The Street Racing Act is the popular name. Highway Traffic Act Section 172 is the proper term.

If this means anything, I had a Jeep Liberty (Renegade) before my Mini and anything over 130 felt unsafe. The most I ever pushed it to was 140+ and it felt scary - like it was going to rollover. 151+ in Jeep Liberty would be scary if you ask me. I was going to post that Magma link but Kenrick beat me to it. If what Adam Grenon is saying is true, I would get it scanned before it leaves the inpound. Adam Clay might be able to confirm if the Jeep can indeed be scanned and the last top speed be logged?

I'm pretty sure they can scan ANY car's computer to get the most recent driving data, just dont pick up the car until you're positive that it can (or cant) be done.. the car will only store so much data, and then it's lost.

Bringing this back from the dead, I have court for this on friday and I just heard some news from my lawyer.

The officer that charged me with the 51 over is currently facing charges for falsifying evidence, I've been told his job is on the line.

Do you guys think he will show up to court If he is on suspension?

I'm really hoping this helps my chances with this ticket.

What do you guys think?

Aaron.

Oh and a very important part of that article.
"It is a universal principle that when two provisions conflict the one that is most favourable to the accused must be adopted, which is why most people are not being convicted under s. 172.
"

So you got caught doing 50 over, there is already a law in place for speeding, but 172 conflicts with it. You should have been just charged with speeding, and the issue of another car being radared could have been faught in court.

Good luck

well.... problem is, that article recommends that you attempt to arrest the officer when he attempts to legally (but illegally) steal your car (impound)... i would not recommend that myself, but all the power to you

but very good point, if you are NOT convicted of the charge, get your lawyer fees back through suit as you clearly lost money, was defrauded for impound fees and the hardship of being taken advantage of without proper evidence??

I didn't get any money back, Or even try to...

I'm just happy I got out of there alive.

The officer was charged with Falsifying evidence in another case, which is mainly what my lawyer worked off of.
My lawyer also brought up the fact that the rader he used had a 4% possibility of being inaccurate.

The charge was instantly withdrawn.

I'm definatly happy I didn't lose my license or 10G's today!

Thanks for the advice guys!

Aaron.

You should try and get back impound/towing fees if you were charged any.

Do you mean 4% of being accurate? 4% inaccuracy seems awfully low.

Did the lawyer bring up the protege that was doing the speed that was radar'd?

I stand by that comment, my true feelings. First of all, when they took the job, they KNEW it was high risk. However, they wanted to dominate others and be little dictators so badly that they took the risk. MOST of the time, they have their way. They are believed in court over honest people, even if they are lying assholes. When something goes badly for a cop and he is killed, in my opinion, no great loss! In my opinion, it is no different than hearing of a drug dealer being killed....I say good riddance.

Yea I've seen and dealt with enough power trippin cops, enough to hate them, though there are the few good ones. Some of them just plain ole biased and racist, but now I'm starting to see more visible minorities which is a good thing. I could recall a few times I been pulled over cause of the way I look.

Here in Markham they got nothing at all better to do, than to follow you around for no reason. There are still the few good dudes though.

I agree with Ziggy, they accept that risk factor when they become a cop so its already factored in.

I remember not too long ago I was standing at an intersection and saw a cop plough right into an old lady's car. He gets out and asks me if I saw her hit him and if I can be a witness. I told him you fuckin just drive into her dude. He ignores me and goes on to look for other witnesses instead. fracking guy!

Guess the tables are turning around:

There MIGHT be the ODD good cop, but the very nature of the system ensures that they cannot survive. They must either turn bad or quit the force....so while there MIGHT be the ODD OK cop at any given point in time, in the end, there will be NONE. They will ALL be bad.
It has been said a million times: power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Police in ontario have absolute power.

ya it does corrupt, and every job I've ever been at has always said "leave your personal problems at home". It seems a cop is the exception to that rule.

A firefighter brings his personal problem to work, he could end up dead, or one of his partners, a paramedic goes to work with tons of his personal issues, a patient could die. A cop goes to work with a personal issue, ever young kid in a nice car gets a bullshit ticket.

I'm sure they say the same thing if a guy in a riced out civic crashes and dies.

"was street racing and deserved it"

And I'm damn sure they joke around about how they gave people tickets. So frack em.

This is also a public forum (as in, anyone can read it), where some of the members were/are police officers. I'm sure some of the rants here wouldn't be appreciated.

Don't get me wrong, I don't like getting harrassed just like the next guy. But, I sure as hell wouldn't come out with a class-less statement that "I won't mourn their loss". These are fathers, mothers, sons and daughters, regardless if they might be a prick to a mouthy kid driving an import. If you really feel that way, keep it to your private conversations instead of posting it on the internet so that all of us get branded as deviants.

I am not a mouthy kid, and I dont drive an import. What I say should in no way reflect on you...and thank god I don't get YOUR attitude associated with me! As far as I am concerned Paul Bernardo was also someone's son. Karla Homolka was someone's daughter. So I should only say nice things about them? When they die, I WILL NOT mourn their loss. I WILL NOT mourn the loss of a crack dealer or other serious offender, and I WILL NOT mourn the loss of a police officer. They are also all serious offenders because they ALL EVENTUALLY abuse the power that is given to them.

When you become a cop, you basically sell your soul to the devil. NO DECENT person remains a cop for long. That is my opinion, I am entitled to it, and I have every right to express it. I KNOW this is a public forum, my opinions are no secret. I always say EVERYONE is entitled to my opininon..Anyone who doesn't LIKE my opinion, feel free to ignore it...but DON'T try to tell me not to express it!

Soldiers, who I VERY MUCH respect, and who laid down their lives SELFLESSLY made sure I have that right. It would be an INSULT to them not to use it.

There is no comparison between a soldier and a cop. Soldiers get all the respect in the world, they are the reason we have our freedoms and rights! The cops are the people who are taking out freedoms and rights away! There is a huge difference between the 2.

And I have to agree with what Ziggy just posted, he is right. I think we look at cops as some people to be respected, when they, most of the time, are not. A crack dealer is most likely a father as well. Just because someone has a badge doesn't automatically mean that their life is worth more than anyone elses.

You're absolutely right. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, even if it may be idiotic. Arguing that drug dealers and murderers could be family to someone else absolutely cemented your point. Good for you! The purpose of my post wasn't to suddenly change your view, clearly your mind is set.

It is idiotic to assume that every drug dealer is just doing it to get rich, but if you are a drug dealer you get labeled as a no down no good fool. Where even if the guy is only selling drugs because he is uneducated and cannot make rent payments and groceries on a minimum wage job.

Me and Ziggy's opinions may vary slightly, but for the part about cops harassing and abusing their power, he is absolutely right. That isn't even an opinion, it's a fact.

To use what these two monsters did to explain how you feel about cops sickens me .... these two pieces of sh!t killed and raped women.

I am a correctional officer I have seen 1000's of cons come through our system and I see the work and the crap that cops deal with daily. The total disrespect for society and lack of remorse for the brutality and pain they inflict on their victims. I salute the officer that has to deal with the carnage seen on our highways and inner city gang feuds....arriving on scene to yet another senseless death due to high speed driving, street racing and gang wars. You are very ignorant to think that this doesn't weigh heavy on an officers mind when he heads out for his shift and that it doesn't affect his decision to write or not to write a ticket or stop a suspicious person minding their own business.

Sorry if it means some car enthusiast's get charged for no front plate, speeding, loud exhaust or emission violations too bad ... sometimes it's the price you pay to play in our sport.

Seriously what has a cop done to you to have such a twisted, prejudice view?

A big part of what you see is the RESULT of the cops work. Have you seen the Rodney King videos? And other videos all over the internet of cops who didn't realize they were being recorded and showed their true colours? In half your cases it is the COP who should be behind the bars, not the person actually there!

You want to know what a cop has done to me? It is not only one. Come one down, I will buy you a beer and TELL you what cops have done to me. They are as SICK AND DISGUSTING as Bernardo and Homolka. They are ALL criminals. Some just have yet to commit their crime...but if they stay cops, they will...it is only a matter of time.

Look at Reza's example above. A cop plows into an innocent old lady and immediately looks for people to LIE for him to cover his ass.....Not a SINGLE thought of accepting responsibility. After all, he is a COP. I say he is a PIECE OF sh!t. This time, it was only the body work on a little old ladies car...but how about if he had killed a mother and her kids...what do you think he would have done? I'll tell you...he would have IMMEDIATELY got some of his buddies to the scene as "witnesses". He is as big a piece of sh!t as Bernardo! At least Bernardo didn't abuse any authority placed in him. Maybe this guy is WORSE than bernardo..

The world would be a better place without them!

Good 'ol prejudism at it's best ... I guess you are no better than the prejudice, racist cops themselves.

The difference between your views and my views is that you paint the entire police force across the world in the same brush. I acknowledge that there are cops who abuse their power, just as there are politicians, lawyers, doctors, military leaders and so on and so forth.

I have no reason to believe Reza's story ... sounds a little unduldged.

and this is just hypothetical scenario as if from a movie or something .... completely irrelevant.

again Bernardo is in for drugging, raping and killing his sister inlaw. And that is not abusing your position?

Perhaps it is..but he was not in a position of "authority" over his sister in law or the others. Also, he is in jail where he belongs. The cops are still strutting the streets.

I would also love to see statistics. What percentage of Doctors abuse their position? Let's compare that to the percentage of cops. Of course, you will never get the real numbers, because the cops are just a government sponsored mafia and the truth will never come out.

I have no reason to DISbelieve Reza's story. Reza has not lied to me before, and has no reason to lie. Cops have lied to me and to the judge in front of me repeatedly....no doubt in my mind who I would believe.

And hypothetical makes it irrelevent? That's funny. That is just the "leading up to" of the crimes to yet be committed.
I guess your way is better..let them all frack us repeatedly and viciously BEFORE we ever question their honesty and motives..I mean, they ARE cops, right? THey MUST be good people?

Funny how they wont apply the same innocent until proven guilty rules to us...but you sure seem adamant that THEY get the benefit of the doubt...

Does everyone think the internet is their soapbox for spewing pure SH!T? Please...

Soldiers gave their lives for your freedoms? Absolutely. Do you think they gave their lives so you can spew hatred from your little corner of the internet?

That's exactly what it is. HATE. From what I can see, you're painting cops with the same prejudicial brush. I'm friends with several cops, the kind of people that don't poke their keyboards with hateful messages and expect people to suck up their crap.

I'm tolerant when I see some of our members use creative terms to describe the police. But you have gone too far, and the concerning bit, is that you don't see it.

Well, a peel cop lied in court and told the judge that he heard me a few blocks away driving with my loud exhaust. Were in reality, i was a few blocks (or even more) at a RED light.

Yes, a RED fking light.

At work, their all nice and friendly and chat you up when they want to unload a patient (just to get out of there), but as soon as both of us are in the public area - they act like your guilty of something. Doesn't acknowledge you or anything.

Is that an asshole move? Yes, big fracking so. Does he/she need to act that way? You tell me.

Personally, i treat others the way i want to be treated. Whether your a cop, my parents, a stranger, CEO, Prime minister - respect is earned, not given away.

I do emphatize with cops, correctional officers, security, paramedics, anyone that serves the public. They got their own sh!t to deal with. Cops on their own, the sh!t that they deal with - i give the props for what they do. And i respect that.

And when a fallen cops/soldier/a public servant, or anyone in general dies, its a tragedy. sh!t i deal with deaths on a daily basis.

How do you react when a new parent suddenly cant take their baby home but instead have to bury their kid? Ive been doing this for years and even then, i cry when i have to bring a kid/baby to the morgue. I cant even begin to imagine what the parents feel like.

Sorry ranting on...

But my point is, i still have mixed feelings about cops (well, Peel cops to be specific). Yes there are nice ones, but the majority that i deal with have a chip on their shoulders.

Whatever. What goes around comes around. Their time will come.

I almost forgot what 2nd and reverse gear feels like.

All I have to say about this is;

Who do you call on when your witnessing the following events:

- Armed Robbery
- B&E
- Assault with a deadly weapon
- you have someone following you
- your scared of someone

Our police officers are out day and night picking up the illegal and legal sh!t we have roaming around in our streets destroying our communities and society.

But yes, your opinion is your opinion! So, dont be bitter when one doesnt show up when you call for one in that really bad situation.

No one believed that cops were beating the sh!t out of black people either until they got recorded.

On a somewhat related note, a cop just moved into the apartment above mine. So I'm now living underneath a cop.

Had my first party on Saturday without disturbance. Let's see how long I can keep this up for.

Oh, and I've also had a cop lie to the court, the judge and to myself before in the middle of my plea.

I guess the dumb sh!t didn't know that I requested a copy of his notes months before my court case.

Cop told the judge that there was "significant damage to both vehicles that would easily equate to over $1000 in repairs".

To which I proudly read out his OWN notes stating, "after initial inspection, there does not seem to be any physical damage to either vehicle. Does the court wish to hear more?"

Needless to say, I beat that ticket. Not sure what that cop is doing now but I'm sure he's still writing bogus tickets and lying in court to back them up.

I have no reason to lie/bend the truth. I'm a professional with 3 government licenses so I'm as squeaky clean as it gets as far as my record is concerned.

My only beef here is with Ziggy and his STATEMENT not his opinion of cops, everybody has the right to their own opinion.

Quote
Any suggestion I could make would be illegal...but I DO NOT mourn whenever I hear of a cop being killed...

This equates to applauding the death of a cop ....that is a hateful statement that should not be allowed on this site.

I got a no seatbelt ticket one time when i was wearing my seatbelt. I kindly informed the officer i was wearing my seatbelt as i drove through the spot check but maybe he didnt see it. He replied that i put it on after i was pulled over. Must have been the end of the month and he didnt meet his quota yet.

I once saw someone break into my beighbours car, and start taking stuff from it.

I called the cops. They came, caught the guy, and my neighbour got his stuff back.

I once had someone break into my garage. I called the cops again. I didn't get my stuff back, but they kept me very informed about what was going on, and who the believed had done it throughout the whole process. I KNOW they tried to nail the bastard, because they were in the area a few times talking to potential witnesses.

I once had a cop pull me over for going 170+ in a 100. (Before the 50km/h over rules, but at the time 50+ over was an automatic court date.) He dropped it to 149 in a 100 for me to make things easier.

I thanked every one of them.

Now, I'll have all kinds of time to talk about DSMs, because I won't be busy fixing mine!

I once passed a cop going the other way while I was doing a third gear log, I was doing at least a 160 kph in an 80 zone ...... for whatever reason he did not even pursue me.

My dad got pulled over on his way to work. He went from an 80 zone into a 60 zone still doing 83km/h. The cop gave my dad a 70 in a 60 zone ticket.

Not ALL cops are bad. Its just that the bad ones stand out more then the good ones. Everyone remembers and talks about an A-hole cop for a long time.

Now think about all the sh*t that a cop goes through in a day. The stress, drama, fear, people lieing to them to get out of tickets, etc. I'm susprised some of them don't go crazy. I respect all they do. But hey, there is always a few bad apples in every basket.

Yea believe it or not.... I'll give more detail...

Right near my house, right at kennedy & 14th Ave.

It was a brown desi york region cop, a fuckin paki just like me rotate
Has his sirens on and flies right through the intersection while I was pumping air in my tires, right at the intersection. Slams into the side of the car of an old asian lady making a turn.

I stood up with a "WOW" look on my face. He walks over to me and asks if I saw the lady hit him and if I can be a witness.

I said "Dude you fuckin drove right into her!", while I was laughing at the paki. He walked off and started looking around for other witnesses. Whatever, I didn't give a sh!t and drove off, laughing at the fuckin paki rotflmao

But yea, I'm not a cop so I could be lying.

What if I told you I know of an OPP officer who drives around with a pound of kush in his cruiser and just blazes away that confiscated sh!t with his buddies pimp
Of course I could be just making up stories...

Whatever.... my point is they are humans too like us regular civilians. Definately not supermen.

Yea they help us when we're in trouble, but isn't that what we pay our taxes for ?
I know I pay my share of enough taxes.

Hey now.... One of my best friends is a Cop, my Sam's in the field, a lot of my friends are cops.

I agree with Reza, and I don't like to be hassled by them.

But we drive annoying cars, what can you do about it. We ARE a nuisiance to society. If it was up to them, we'd all be driving Aveos.

And they suck, trust me.

Yea and quite frankly I don't give a sh!t if your a police officer, a soldier, the fuckin president or Michael Jackson.

I DON'T mourn the loss of random people I don't know. If a police officer dies, boo fracking hoo.
When was the last time you mourned the loss of innocent civilians being killed by soldiers on the other side of the world? Yes random women and children...

Police officer dies and we got to mourn ? Are you kidding me ? I don't remeber the last time I read the news of an officer getting killed in the line of duty, and even feeling sh!t for him/her.

Geez if I mourned the loss of every poor soul, I'd be a damn depressed mess by now cry

Honda civics with fart cans are annoying, DSMs, along with most other turbo cars sound gorgeous. And with the law it's innocent until proven guilty, but since when is a persons opinion proper evidence for a charge? Murderers and rapists get off because there is no evidence to the charge, a cop "thinks" that we are doing something wrong so he tickets us and we get charged. frack that, frack them.

Then don't bitch about cops, bitch about the system. I usually avoid these threads, because of my career, but you just said it yourself.

Yeah, sure, a few ruin it for the many. I'd like to think that I am fair, and good at my job.

Once again, I'll get flamed for my post, but who cares.

The system has room for the cops to abuse their power, but it's their choice whether they do it or not.

I mean, I could go have sex with an std infested whore, but I don't because it's a moral decision that I have made. Does a cop have to harass people or break the law themselves? no, but they do because most of them don't seem to have the moral compass not to.

The only reason their "opinion" stands up in court is because they are a cop, if they were a regular average working joe, the judge would laugh at them and say "bring me some real evidence". There is no reason, with the amount of crooked cops, and asshole cops that the court system should trust them anymore than a drug dealer. imo.

But of course that doesn't go for everyone, you are an awesome guy, and I am 100% sure that you do not act the way most cops do.

Hey, don't get me wrong, I'm just trying to defend the good cops out there. I know there are some corrupt, sick cops, and believe me, it bothers me probably more than it bothers anyone else. I've seen illegal practices done, and I've reported it. That officer went on 'stress leave' immediately after, and has not returned. (this was years ago). There was the odd cop after that who didn't like me, but I'm willing to live with that in order to stand for my beliefs, and what I think is right. I just don't like this whole 'blanket' we're thrown under as a collective whole.

On that note, I'm also a soldier, and I'm more than willing to fight to the bitter end for what I stand for, and what my country stands for.

Perhaps this throws a twist in things, or maybe it'll help open people's eyes a little. If not, that's fine, like I said, I stand for the rights we're entitled to.

(For those who don't know what I do, I'm a Military Police Officer).

You sound like a GOOD cop Eric. It's nice to see good guys like you cracking down on other colleagues.

We need more of you guys out there smile . I don't think your being blanketed with the rest of them. We're just talking about the bad guys.

Kind of like after 9/11 when everyone looked at all Muslims as terrorists for quite some time. Hey I'm a Muslim, but definately not a terrorist, nor do I support those extremists in any way. Or like the US going in and blowing up an entire wedding ceremony, cuz they think one terrorist may be present, only to find nothing. But yea who cares about the innocent civilians. They were just Muslims right. That is why I really don't care about soldiers and officers lives.

Same way we have the good cops like you, and the really corrupt ones out there as well, kind of like the extremists.

Hey I've met a lot of good cops and they get my respect when they talk to me with respect. I have also told MANY of them frack off cause of their badass attitude.

I would NEVER bother to call the cops if I witnessed a B&E. They will not do anything about REAL crime..they are too busy cracking down on fart cans. Last time I went to the cops for anything was when I was a victim of an attempted extortion, and they LAUGHED about it...

SUN: The argument was that a charge (under the legislation) can automatically lead to a fine, the vehicle being impounded, possible jail time. The lawyer (Brian Starkman) argued that there's no way to advance a defense under this law.

FANTINO: With all due respect to the court, the defense is to not speed over 50 km/h from the posted speed limit. That's the absolute defense.

Ah ha, the Fantino Defense!!
In practice, apparently, it does not work so well...

On the other subject:
I'm sure I've had some good cop experiences, but they are difficult to recall. I'm also confident that if there were no cops, I would have more bad experiences to recall, in general (my thanks to the good cops).
I won't forget almost being killed by a speeding cruiser, though.
Would you believe that the cop had the nerve to double-back and try to intimidate me, presumably so that I wouldn't lodge a complaint?

I agree with your whole statement. I don't support the extremists, they need to smoke something and chill haha..

but in seriousness, the sad reality that I see is that all these officers and firemen aren't the ones breaking up weddings and events for one terrorist, it's the higher-ups who sit at their office and command these men under them to do so and look like the bad guys some times.

You can't blame the soldiers for the politicians and leaders telling them to drop a bomb though, Reza. Even though it's not right in the least, the soldiers have no say.
