Not 100% sure if this will work in the 2g's, but Crappy has a reader on sale, Made by "Innova". It says "OBD reader", but the unit is marked "CanOBD2". Regular $150., on sale for $89.99

It will work on all cars 96 and newer and some 95's. That was the whole point behind OBD II was that the computer readouts where standardized. Same connector, same output. Now, that being said there are some parts of the computer that are still proprietary and won't read on a generic code reader. For that you need the factory scantool.

Since i'm half retarded. Could someone tell me.. This would be good for logging and is it everything i need to log? also is it plug and play.. i have a 1995 talon. and i have a s-afc but need to log so i know what im' knocking and such on and so forth.. would this do it?

As far as I can tell, all it does is read & erase codes.
This would be useless for tuning your DSM.
