This is the problem with car guys, we're all kids at heart:) Can't we all just get along?
People got screwed, can we act like mature adults and put all the anger towards something useful (rather than go around in circles and choosing sides and what not)?
Maybe we could talk about cars or something...I'll start:
I like my car, it is shiny and I like the sound of the turbo spooling. I can't wait to get rid of my double wing scenario I gots goin on.

nope..not too much. Right is right, wrong is wrong...and should not be forgotten. I am not posting fresh "bad guy" threads...just jumping in to make "corrections" or "warning", however you want to look at it, when people are posting "good guy" threads about a crook.
Did you guys not know that squareheads were stubborn? You should be thankful you have never seen me angry, LOL.
No, I am not refusing to deal with acquaintances of Helder...just his "groupies"..

I don't have an opinion either way as I've only dealt with Helder once for a $20 item. Which there was no problems, and he even sent me the part without paying first. So that experience is minimal but I will take into consideration what all have said about him.
I also don't think Ziggy is out of line, imagine how many people may have not bothered to post if they had a bad dealing with helder, becuase its to much effort. Also the same might be said if people have had good dealings with him.
Either way I support Ziggy having the balls to say something, even if it is again and again, rather then keeping a closed mouth about it.
There's too many people without the balls to say anything these days.

This particular section of the board is meant exactly for the types of warnings that are provided about people, including when they are in response to other member's topics, so think twice before you comment on someone "tainting" your thread or claim that someone is "whining" in the appropriate section of the board. You are entitled to disagree with their input, but try to keep your responses civil and mature and try to avoid wise-guy comments that are written spitefully.
It's anyone's choice as to whether or not they want to take advice seriously, if at all. Helder might do great things for some people but, as can be seen from several people in this thread alone, he is no Knight in shining armour. At least the Knights had honor and deserved their respect. In my opinion, neither is true for Helder based on the numerous negative transactions he has made with people on this board. Helder has certainly done nice things for some people from what I've read, but I don't think that outweighs the fact that he's done some extremely shady things as well. You can disagree with that all you want, but rest assured that we will be letting the community know to be careful.
Speaking of respect, what gives anyone the right to blast Ziggy for being German and linking him to Hitler? Why should anyone have to resort to name-calling or other such childish practices? In case you don't understand, those are rhetorical questions and don't require an answer. You might disagree with someone and/or their opinions, but seriously, when you resort to such tactics, the only person you're making look stupid is yourself.
I stand with Ziggy on this subject, not as a "follower" or "groupie", but as a fellow community member that has experienced Helder's dealings first-hand. Helder was given the opportunity to set things right with both of us and has laughed about it constantly since, which gives us every right to tell people to watch out. We're not asking for our money back and we're not hoping for miracles. We're just watching out for all the members of this community; the same people we consider to be our "friends", including those that we have yet to meet face to face and those that we've never talked to before. Friends don't treat each other like crap or take their money and run. Friends watch out for one another.

Its funny, I searched jay peterson and luke sturgeon. Theres a post that goes on and on about how luke was screwed by him blah blah.. But now there together helping put a manifold on? bahah Ya, this Elias lists Jay Peterson as one of the guys who screwed him, but also as one of the guys who couldn't get the manifold on, LOL. So I guess he still trusts guys who screw him..
