Well? Who's going?

I don't care if I have to kill a family of goats, I'm going. Camping likely. We need to get a bunch of us out there this year, the last couple I haven't made it.

Too early to tell for us. I'm part of that "I'd like to go, probably will" group, but can't say for sure with this recession we're going through.

Time will tell.

After DB cring like a little kid after each shootout I have decided to boycott both "his shootout" and his shop in general.
When I see quotes such as this coming out
" “I don't even feel like I am talking to people I know when it comes to DSM's. I guess I remember nice cars, worth more than $10 and making a living selling parts that worked for them. Sounds to me like most of your projects should be scrapped, scrap metal is bringing good money right now, sounds like more than most of the car are even worth.”

The good news is there is an alternative coming out, there should be some info on DSMTuners/Talk, unfortunately as power play it's the same weekend, but some (Magnus, Rau, Sherer Fab) etc are planning to be in attendance at this point.
So far the only shep is in for Norwalk (it's close, and even that is potentially up in the air pending completion of the car)

I'd certainly prefer to support Marco, given the choice. Where is this Magnus shootout being held?

If I plan to go to a shootout, it will be the Magnus. Never been to or will ever support red neck DB.

You can see details on Nabr.

IIRC you need a passport starting sometime in June to cross the border.

I believe this linky might answer your question?

Quote
Starting June 1, 2009, Canadian citizens will be required to present a valid passport, a NEXUS or Free and Secure Trade (FAST) card, or an enhanced driver's licence/enhanced identification card when seeking to enter the United States at its land or water crossings.

I plan on attending the Jersey shootout this year.

I loved the Ohio shootout, as I've been to 3 I believe, but it's time for a change.

I'm going to Jersey as well. There are a few shops running the Jersey event, not only Magnus. For those who don't know, Magnus and Buschur have settled their differences, albeit just co-existing. Buschur recently tested Marco's new V5 cast intake for the EVO, and said it was the best manifold he has ever tested.

Anyway, on to the Jersey event. Brent M.F. Rau will be there, as well as the 4G63 powered rail car dragster built by a NABR member. It's only had a few runs and already broke into the 7s. There are also loads of 8 second cars that will be attending.

Shep will be in Ohio more than likely, considering the track's pretty much down the road.

My plan is to head down Jersey and might even have the chance to take the drive with the Ol'Scotty.

Again; it is only in the planing phase but will sore miss the good old SO plantation and all.
