Glad to see some interest. Keep in mind that this event sells out really quickly on the day of the open house. So if you decide you want to attend either be at the open house or be ready to register on-line at the opening bell.

The open house is also the place to register for any of the clubs or find out about the events they put on, either SoloSprint, Autoslalom, TimeAttack, etc.

I signed up for the Autoslalom school, should be fun assuming the weather isn't like today. smile

By the way, I didn't see a single DSM at the open house, nor did I recognize any DSMers in the crowd. Was anyone else there or did anyone else sign up?

There was lots of other nice hardware at the open house. Some well modded STIs, a beautiful classic M3, nice old Volvo, bright orange Lotus Elise, etc. etc.

Did you see the R8?

I was hanging around the SPDA table wearing a blue Calabogie Motorsports Park shirt. I was there between 1 and 3.

You didn't mention my beautiful green Legacy wagon parked across from the Inside Track tent... frown

I didn't anybody else was showing up otherwise we could've met up to chat.

Ah, I see your name on the list now...see you at the school along with a certain Rob G.

I missed the R8, it must have come after I left.

But I did take a look at your sweet Legacy wagon! Actually I got there shortly after noon so I had lots of time to look at it. Looks like it'd be alot of fun. The light setup was nicely done, I was wondering what kind of alternator you need to run something like that. smile

I think we talked briefly at the SPDA table but I didn't realize it was you. I guess we should all wear name tags with our avatars on there!

I'm in too! I signed up online though. Couldn't make the drive. Now I just need to go through the car and make sure it's up to the task.

Haha, my wagon was actually the one in front of the one with the crazy lights! Tinted windows, slightly lowered. It's ok not to notice it, that's the way I like my cars...under the radar! wink

Hmmm, I didn't talk with many people...anyway, I'll see you guys at the school. Should be a great time!

I've been meaning to post this for a while now... I also attended the autocross and had an absolute blast!!

Those SPDA guys really now how to run an event. Kudos to Tashko and all the other organizers and volunteers. For those that missed it, definitely try to make it out next year.

There are a bunch of pictures of the event posted here: SPDA 2009 Autoslalom school

And I posted my random snaps here: Jeff's pics

I'm in the black Miata hardtop:

Rob is in the white Laser:

BTW, Kudos to Rob who had a DSM running well through two days of abuse! smile His car was launching and accelerating harder than anything else there. The DSMLink stutter box launch sure was confusing some people...
