Decided to start one of these. I have more parts/pictures but will have to take some better quality ones this week. My goals for this year are to run somewhere in the 13-14 second range, hopefully I can make it there. The car is a 96 TSI AWD with rear LSD. So far I've added an Intake. Plus a whole slew of gauges (waiting on EGT and Water Temp to come in) Right now I'm working on an external oil cooler set up. I've got an Evo OFH and need to finish ordering the rest of the parts for it. I'll have a temp sensor plumbed into the return line from the cool too. Lastly, I just picked this up, hoping it will get my the times I want. 14B with a 7cm housing and AN fittings for the oil lines. That's it for pictures now. I've got a ton of other parts kicking around like an FMIC kit, 2Gb Eclipse bumper and fogs, 3" turbo back parts, 1G CBV, plus a whole lot more. I'm currently ordering all the parts to install my FMIC and 14B (new coolant over flow can, dual catch cans, lines, some more exhaust parts, gaskets, etc). I would also like to thank everyone I've gotten parts from so far. This forum has helped me A LOT! Enjoy!

Thanks Louis.
I'd aim for 12s but I'm not sure if my stock block can handle 20psi. If I blow the motor I'm sure my better half would have my head on a silver platter. Kevin K is running 42psi on a stock bottom end. It's all about the tune. If you get Kevin K to tune your car with DSM / ECM Link, you wont blow up

Guess I won't know till I pop it hmm another thing Anthony...why does my neck hurts when I look at your vent bezel? hahaha, believe it or not, from the driver's seat, I can quickly glance at my gauges and see that all is 5 by 5. Once I get the turbo and fmic in, I'll be buying some fuel mods and then getting a DSMLink.

I never thought to try a 7cm housing on the 14b, good idea. Probably could have gone even faster.

I never thought to try a 7cm housing on the 14b, good idea. Probably could have gone even faster. I bought the turbo like that. From what I've read on tuners it's a pretty worth while upgrade so I can't wait to bolt it on the car. Kevin K is running 42psi on a stock bottom end. It's all about the tune. If you get Kevin K to tune your car with DSM / ECM Link, you wont blow up HAS ran is more like it. I don't drive around daily with that much boost, but if I'm running a bike or something fast, I have no problems raising the boost to levels that would have most ppl $hit themselves. I have a 6-bolt block, so I wouldn't be trying that with a 7-bolt. But I'd still run 30psi all day 42PSI on a stock block, damn that seems insane hahaha. I think 20psi on a stock block is crazy but then again, I'm use to weak little Honda blocks. My friend who's painting my bumper just sent me this. It's in primer now as the picture is a few days old. Can't wait to have the new front on the car. Here's a decent shot of the IC piping (the bov pipe is not in the box), sadly the picture I took of the intercooler didn't turn out so I've got an old cell phone picture. It is the SSAC kit that Jamie Loo sells, for the price and reviews I've read, it's a steal! Lastly, my 3" Vibrant Flat Black muffler.

FYI, i have run a 14b with a 7cm housing heavily ported. I made a significant increase in spool and I gained some top end flow. You will not be disappointed.

More pictures of the Cat Back! Under the car, it hangs low but I've only hit it twice and that was because I went too quick over a speed bump, so now I know I have to go slow lol. You can also see the reducer where it goes into the stock cat. There's another adapter which let's it bolt to a 3" down pipe (coming soon). I took a video of the exhaust. Ignore the smoke, car was cold and there was some water in it from the rain last night. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jslQ4Ray_vcNext up is my Waste gate dump, this thing will be nasty with the new turbo. Because of where the piping routes on my Intercooler kit, I had to buy a new Coolant can. It's a piece made by JM Fabrications with a sight tube and drain cock. Lastly, the J pipe for my 14B showed up. Needs to be cleaned up/polished before going on. Pretty much ready for the new turbo almost. I still need the following: Catch Cans 90* Silicone coupler/adapter Add a cat to my down pipe New Turbo to manifold bolts Oil Lines Oil Cooler That's it.

Nice ride, remember you're still going to need: fuel pump, injectors, AFPR and a tuning program (If you want to go past 14-15 psi).

Maybe my eyes are playing tricks with me, but I see a big ass dent right there: D'oh, I always forget about the dent. Hope to respary the car next year. There is some paint transfer along with the dent. Was there when I bought the car. Nice ride, remember you're still going to need: fuel pump, injectors, AFPR and a tuning program (If you want to go past 14-15 psi). This year I won't be turning up the boost past 14-15psi. You're gonna go through alt. like going out of style with that dump tube. That's why I'm going to route it away from the alt

Picked up more parts yesterday. First off is the Megan Racing Down Pipe, I've now got a full 3" exhaust once this goes on. I need to have a cat welded plus the bung for my wide band before I install it. Neck down to mate with the O2 housing. Also ordered parts for my HID Retro, all I really need now is head lights, unless I decide to do a quad set up. Tested the ballasts and bulbs with the new power supply. My set up will consist of Bosch AL Gen 2 ballasts, Osram D2S bulbs and E55 (Merc Benz) Bi-Xenon Projectors. I will also be wiring a PWM in for some.....uh, fun. I'll show that off later. Be cause of the 'fun' I needed to pick up something to keep things cool. Tiger Direct FTW! I still have more stuff to buy, seems like it's never going to fracking end lol. Think I'm gonna order some battery relocation stuff now. I've got my PCV/Catch can set up figured out too so I'll order parts for that and get started on it once my valve cover arrives, finally found another. Stay tuned ya'll!

How much boost can you run on that turbo and still be efficient? I thought stock 14b's weren't really good past 15psi?

I bought the turbo off Mike D and he was running 20psi, making good power. Lots of people on tuners running this thing to 20psi and dipping into the 12s. That's good to know.
