okay, Brian Fernandez showed me the site for the chips. If you have DSM Link and a chip, can you keep changing the rpm that your stutter box is set at? or is it permanent?

Also any guesses on whats done to this car? I don't believe its stock like said in the description.

DSM Link is a chip, and software, from what I understand.

The chips that are burnt are permanent and you tell them your setup and what you want done. If you change your setup drastically, you have to get a new chip. Some of the things you tell them are injector size, turbo size, psi, stutter box rpm, fuel cut yes / no, and a few other things. It's a decent idea for the 400hp area. From what I've read anyways. I've always just wanted to go with DSM Link, especially with DSM Link lite coming out

I'll just wait for DSM Link Lite then. The full version is very expensive and beyond what I want to spend. I didn't know that you could do the whole stutter box thing with DSM Link either but that's good to know. Did you check out that youtube link that I posted above?

I THINK even with a burned chip you can adjust the stutter box RPM if I am not mistaken?

Not quite sure, I was under the impression that it's a one time change for red line, stutter box etc. I'm probably mistaking tho.

Some burned chips have controls, yes.

DSMLink = total control.

You will get a basic burn from the settings you wish. From there, you can adjust EVERYTHING. And with v3...direct access FTW!

Jeff O's chips from Keydiverchips have adjustable stutterbox. 4 points with a 1000 rpm range. Mines is set at 5000, 5250, 5500 and 6000 rpm. You just tap the gas pedal when the key is in the ON position to select where you want it.

I've used a few of his chips now, and they have all worked with great success.

I was watching Kevin K do some tuning yesterday with Link, and honestly, it's insane the amount of tuning you can do with it, the logging, then adding or subtracting air based on your real boost and your ecu thinking boost, and all this other crap. I pray they make a ECMLink for Toyota so I can use it for my MR2

DSM link is a writeable chip, cable and software.
IT allows you to tune your car, add stutterbox launch control, anti lag, no lift to shift as well as Log (and see knock on a 2G).
BUT you MUST get your ecu socketed to use the chip. DYou can either find some one locally, or send it to ECM Tuning (DSM link people) and they will socket it + replace all your caps for 30 dollars.
