Hello guys.
I needed to install my temporary transmission in a hurry so that I could move the car to it's present location.
The starter plate was damage so I had to install the transmission without it, the problem now is that the starter is sitting a millimiter or two too close to the flywheel thus making noise at start up.
Is there anything I can do short of pulling it back out again to install a new starter plate which I still have to locate?

Hoping that nothing breaks this summer.

I would try using washers as shims between the starter and the bellhousing.
