Oh God not the VW, crips I have a 98 Golf purple gas auto, that is dead @ the end of my laneway that I will sell you for $100, excellent body condition little rust around the licence plate thats it, please take it Hitler put a heavy curse on this one, GAS VW's are pretty good in the winter, just don't bottom her out...

I'm driving my 97 4runner V6 4X4 with diff lock this year, I put a full hyd Artic plow on it since it has 421000KM's on it and a 2 1/2" suspension lift, Oh ya!,. Bought the GF a twin 97 4runner same colour & options as well so we can pull each other out all winter, bahahaha.. Gotta figure out the pic thing just never have time..

I drove the 911 for one winter, only once did it not start for me and I had to get it towed to a warm place.

I also got caught in a snow storm with this one night, that was a scary drive home...

Before I bought the 911 I was looking for a B5 S4 like yours for the longest time, then when I got rid of the 911 I bought this A4 3.2L. I should have just bought the B5 S4 in the first place, would have saved me a lot of hassle, haha.

It's fun as balls but requires complete dedication to maintain it.

I keep my laptop and VAG cable in the car at all times.

Going for my first e-test with it next weekend. Fingers crossed.

WEll finally got around to throwing some nice meats on this thing, it should be unstoppable in the snow.
Still gotta patch the exhaust and fill the carrier bearing. And then its safty and etest time!





In the early spring I'm pulling the 2.4 to build, and throwing in the old turbo 2.0 in it for next winter. That should give it some balls.

I'm rocking a Subie this year. 1992 Legacy FWD N/T POS. It DEFINITELY qualifies for beater status, I'll post a pic or two of the car soon enough.

My winter beater last year and this year is a 1996 ford contour v6. Its got about 280XXXkm and burns oil..

Ill be driving this thing to the ground so it should hopefully last me 2 more winters..

Anyway the body is in okay shape but the underbody is getting near its end, The interior is mint (minus the power locks, sunroof and driver window don't work) and the engine is all stock.

2001 Elantra, 272,000 and counting, been in the family since day 1. It's a beater, but it's in good condition other than some rust forming, and I really like the car other than the fact it's... auto.

I'm roughing it in this beater. It's got a chevy big block under the hood. 8.1L and drinks enough gas for 4 talons. LOL

I was loving it until today... All my Brake fluid disappeared and now I have no brakes
I am hoping the leak is just small enough that I can top it off and not have to worry about it until spring.. Or ever.

Here is my Winter beater. Has about 9000km on them at least. No power options, about 50% Tread left, FF ftl. I've had a few close calls on the ice. Great on gas though.

Scarriest car I've driven in the winter.
426 Hemi converted 1979 Buick Skyhawk, electric manual racing fuel pump, open element air induction, probably an 80/30 front to rear weight ratio, with 400+ lbs/ft torque.
Bought it off a friend of the family, he got of the car and bought a GrandPrix lol.
