Yea, I change my mind a whole hell of a lot. However to build my 6 bolt the way I want, I'm better off waiting a bit.

So I've started gather parts and reading up. I want to upgrade to an Evo 3 16G (not aiming to be the fastest in Canada though ;)) and pretty much get the best/fastest times I can on pump gas and meth.

I've got an S-AFC already and 660s. I need to find an Evo 3 16G, FMIC, 255lph pump, AFPR, meth (post) and water (pre) injection kits. I'm also thinking a Perma Torque head gasket and APR studs (do I need L19s or no?), I'll also do a new clutch and flywheel.

I'm planning to do this on a budget so I'll be using used parts where I think I can get away with them.

Any input from the more seasoned DSMers?

I've got an AEM UEGO wideband.
Logger I've got a copy of Evo Scan but I'm looking for something else.

You better get these if you really want to be part of the gang and you better be aiming to break some records laugh
Please no wimpy boost levels smile We call 30psi, LOW boost. You should be able to dial in that much boost on any stock block without a hiccup.

Either L19s or A1s should do the job, and you won't have to buy headstuds again as these are reusable over and over again smile

There are several unspoken criteria in order to be a true part of Team Pump Gas. Rule #3 is your street boost levels must be above 30psi. This is the bare bones minimum. grin

Reza and Tim covered the criteria pretty well. Like Reza said, 30psi is concidered 'Baby Boost'. I have a 70mm turbo and I don't see less than 30psi on the streets.

45psi boost gauge here! demon

Guess I need the external sensor for my tru boost laugh

I've been reading a lot over the past week. Trying to figure out everything I need.
Now with the SAFC, would it be worth my while to use a MAF-T or no?

Pre turbo water injection, Kevin or Reza touched on it in another thread. I want to piece together my own kit rather then buying one.
I want the nozzle pointing towards the turbo inlet right?
How many psi and nozzle size?
How is everyone controlling there meth and water? Just a simple pressure switch?

You should just by a kit for the meth and read up on the pre-turbo water injection in that other thread, there was a really good link posted in there.
Lots of nozzle talk too. If you take the time to read and absorb the info it's a lot better for you.

MAF-T is pretty crude. SAFC offers better control. There are benefits to using both together.

I plan to buy a kit for the meth.
For the water I want to build my own. I'll do more reading.

Most don't push their set-ups enough to warrent a pre-turbo WI set-up. 98% of those out there will be good enough with a good meth injection kit. 30psi on an evo3 16g with just meth injection alone is doable, no need to complicate things further with an additional system.

Just my $0.02

Thanks for the input Kevin.

I want to push it as far as I can, that's why I'm considering both systems.

Will the MAF-T and S-AFC allow me to run larger then 650s?
Ideally I'd like 880s, never have too much fuel.

Not well - you'll end up with too much timing advance.
Add a '95 ECU and a chip with injector compensation, it's worth it. Then you're also ready for DSMLink later, if you want it.

Anyone can join for a couple grand and some intuition. That is what I like about the concept of 'TPG'
