Does anyone have a rusted out 1g AWD fuel sending unit they would be willing to sell cheap or donate for R&D purposes. I have been asked SO many times about these, and of course, Mitsu only sells them WITH the pump for some ridiculous amount of money. some places sell dual pump units, but again, for a ridiculous amount of money.

Now, I can't do anything about the rusted studs in the tank itself, but I WOULD like to look at making a replacement sending unit that will accept a walbro pump...

Let me know who has one, preferably someone who comes this way on occasion smile

Thanks in advance..
Ziggy

I've got the CAD model made up ziggy smile. Custom designed hanger and all but never went any further with it. Too many other responsiblities.

Want to work together on this and make it happen?

I think you were working on a double pump version, no? I haven't had a good look yet, but was thinking just a simple replacement. Apparently the sending unit portion is available for a reasonable price, so it should not be much of a big deal I figure....basically a plate and few fittings and a pump hanger..

There are already places selling double pump versions, but for big money, and I don't think there would be much demand. I think most people will just want to replace their rusted out unit..

I will PM you..

Mine works as a simple replacement also as I was making it for a single bosch 044 for myself at first and than make it work with 255hp rather easily. I have done a couple for stock hangers so I have bulkhead fittings sources and all. Just a different hanger and provisions for passing power through the plate safely without grounding to the plate is essentially what it is.

The one thing I have not sourced is fittings to go to a stock line as i've mostly done one where guys have upgraded to AN line.

Send me a PM and we can discuss.

I would certainly get one for the bosch 044 fuel pump if you decide to make these.
