I got a call from my insurance company my car has been written off.

I have MANY parts I need to remove ASAP.

I need assistance from 1 or 2 DSM'ers to remove these parts.

I will pay you for your time.

I also NEED a 14B turbo blown or not ASAP.

How much would you want for the 16G? How many miles on it?

By writing the car off the insurance company is saying that it will cost them more to fix it than to pay you the trade-in-value of the car. Since us DSM'ers are cheap, it is possible that maybe you or another member could repair it at a reasonable cost. Especially, with all the part-outs going on in the for-sale section.

Will they let you buy the vehicle back after they pay out? Sometimes you can buy it back from the Insurance company at scrap value. Best of both worlds, they pay you out and you keep the car!

I def. need assistance with the parts removal, there is TONS of stuff, including a custom interior that took me hours...days...

I won't be selling any parts that day, just in case I need some of them for the next DSM.
Currently I'm looking at a modded 2G so most of the parts removed will be sold, but I don't want to sell anything until the new DSM purchase is finalized.

But whoever helps will gewt first dibs on any parts removed.

Why dont you buy the car back from insurance? They will ask you to pay 10-15% of the settled payment.

When you do that, you have all the time in the world to take things off.

I have done it twice, once the car has been written off, another time I decided to "fix" the car myself.

I don't have the time or the place to store/part out.
I plan on doing it in the bodyshops parking lot.

The car itself (other than the accident) is in good shape, always used Mobile 1, major work was done by Marco at Magnus, well taken care of.

The damage didn't really look that bad.
Although the drivers side wheel is pointing straight ahead.

That's an easy fix. The control arms fold up pretty nicely when you hit them the right way. That causes the -ve camber and the huge toe in problem. The subframe is probably perfectly fine.

Bumper (might just need paint), Fender, tire (maybe a wheel) and a control arm. Shouldn't cost more than $1000 to fix.

Aw Kevin dude, that's a real easy fix. Just get a new fender, which I have, and paint it, which I can do. I'd have to look at the suspension before I'd comment about that but that is def NOT a write off.
