Here is the progress we made so far today. There is a good story to along with it. Took two tries to put it in.








We got the engine in. Then to get the power steering belt on, we needed to rotate the engine. It wouldn't budge! So we took it back out to figure out what the hell went wrong. Finally figured out SOMEONE had unscrewed the pivot ball!!!!! No names of course. So we fixed that and threw it back in. Takes about half an hour to bolt up an engine these days.

Mike originally gave me that tranny when I was in a pickel.
I put it in and took it for a rip and had fluid shooting everywhere.. the reverse idler bolt was gone!

I took it out and just fixed my original one. While doing so, I took the pivot ball off every tranny I had laying around to see what one was worn the least.

I gave Mike his tranny back because I didn't need it any more..... but only threaded the pivot ball back in maybe 2 turns... he never noticed, and the fork ended up binding with the pressure plate.. oops

Damn slut tranny... My Bad

How did you redo those calipers so nicely? Just get rid of the crappy clear coat and re-apply?

Clear coat was peeling pretty bad, but the paint under it was great. I took them to a power wash, and sprayed the clear off. If you aim the jet just right, it just peels off instantly. Then I applied some super high temp clear.

Easy peasey lemon squeezy.

Well since I will only get one run at each track, I figure I will let the cat out of the bag a bit. This really isn't about beating Fgay. That's just an added bonus. This is really a test of my skills and ideas. Since I am just a little bit of exhaust work away from finishing, I'm feeling really good about it. The guys on my Facebook already know what the deal really is. As I posted before, there is a small 16g going in. What you didn't see was the baby mulcher that is also going in. That is right people. This is a compound turbo 2.3L set up that will rev very high.

The link you posted shows the bigger one feeding the smaller one.

If the smaller one fed the larger one, it would starve it.
