I am selling my Talon AWD as it has been replaced by a Mitsubishi Lancer. The car is low mileage and has zero rust anywhere. It comes inspected with a current slip and needs nothing. Here are the stats on the car:

-225 HP Turbocharged 2.0L
-5 speed manual transmission
-Full time All Wheel Drive
-Limited slip rear axle
-Leather interior with power driver's seat
-75,000 KM
-1999 Eclipse GSX front conversion (all OEM from Mitsubishi with receipts ~$1500)
-2 way FM remote starter/alarm
-Alpine CDA 9855 cd/mp3 stereo with glide touch
-MB quart front components
-Steel wheels and Goodyear Nordics with < 5000 KM
-Autometer boost gauge
-Power moonroof
-Power locks/windows
-Cruise control
-Original paint

The car is in mint condition and drives like new. I'm looking for $6250 and will include Goodyear winter mats and summer wheels. I welcome anyone to put this up on a ramp and inspect the underside. It is literally like new, no surface rust on the control arms even.

Did you do conversion yourself? Paint on the passenger fender and front eclipse bumper does not match the rest of the car.

Did anything happen to it in the past?

You ^ must have a very discerning eye. I cannot see any paint differences in the fender/bumper compared to the rest of the body.

The car looks super clean, maybe post a motor picture. Good luck with the sale.

his passenger side fender and bumper has a different shade, could be just a fender replacement due to rust and the eclipse bumper is new with a almost matching paint job.

It looks like the bumper is the only thing that is off, With such a rare color the mix was not probably 100% accurate, and it would have been a lot of work blending the fenders hood into the bumper, so i think that showes you he didnt want the hood and fenders sanded down

There's no rust on the car. I had a chip on the p/s fender fixed so they cleared that panel and the front bumper was painted as well. It was done at a dealer body shop with "guaranteed" match. The colour is not so much off as the shiny-ness because the rest of the car hasn't been waxed in quite some time.

Oh and no I didn't do the conversion myself, it was done by Collision Experts (Mazda's dealer bodyshop) and the car has never been in an accident.

Well after much debate on this car, I have decided to become the proud new owner of this ABSOLUTELY MINT Talon!

It will be replacing my '95 AWD, and sadly I will be scrapping that car in the very near future. Aside from the parts already spoken for by Greg Kelly, I will be selling a lot of good stock and aftermarket parts for the '95, so keep on eye on the Wanted to Sell forum in the coming weeks. PM me if there is something you would like to request, first come first serve on available parts.

Thanks to Mike for pampering this car and keeping it in such immaculate condition, and thanks to everyone else for not snatching up what is likely one of the cleanest, lowest km 2Ga AWD's in Canada smile

Mike

Nothing against NL or anything, but I'm guessing the location had a lot to do with that. smile

This is not a NL car, Mike drove it back from Ontario about 2 years ago...I may be mistaken but I believe it used to belong to someone on this board...

You are correct though, it likely would not be so clean if it had spent since '96 in Newfoundland, ha-ha. Looking forward to having solid strut towers smile

Edit: Paul maybe that's what you meant when you said location had a lot to do with that, meaning it's in good shape because it's not from NL!....sorry I am having a pretty slow day after last night's festivities

No didn't mean that, although now that you mention it . . .

No, what I meant was there are a heck of alot more potential buyers in, say, Ontario, and pretty much anywhere in S.Ontario is within reasonable driving distance of pretty much anywhere else in S.Ontario. So a nice DSM for sale in S.Ontario would have a much larger pool of potential buyers and thus wouldn't be for sale long.
