Sup guy's its been a while , seeing this reminded me to come say hi.
I saw the roads closed as i was driving in the area last night and then just now i saw Breakfast Television and they talked about the accident.
It was a black 1gb, 17 year old suspended driver, i believe alcohol was one factor and also high speeds.
Snapped a hydro pole in half and a 19 year old girl was killed in the car. Pharmacy ave and St Clair area

I been trying to find some links but i haven't been able to find anything yet.

No names mentioned so i don't even know if it was anyone from here.

RIP to the innocent girl in the 1gb .

Here is the link

http://www.citytv.com/toronto/cityn...y-avenue-crash-claims-young-woman-s-life

A young woman was killed in a crash on Pharmacy Avenue early Thursday -- the second fatal car accident in the area this week.

A 19-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene after the single-car crash at Florens Avenue, south of St. Clair, around 12:30am. The force of the impact was so strong that it snapped a hydro pole in half.

Authorities have closed Pharmacy Avenue in the area for their investigation.

An 18-year-old was seriously injured. The 17-year-old suspected driver and another person in the car reportedly took off after the accident, but turned up at hospital later.

Authorities reportedly believe speed was a factor in this crash and one person has been taken into custody.

Im guessing she was in the excuse for a back seat and went through the rear glass. Just goes to show that racing belongs on the track. R.I.P.

This is very sad, and nothing less than a complete waste of a life.

The 17 year was probably trying to show off infront of the 19 year old girl.

I'm also suprised the Talon held up so well, considering the impact.

This is horrible.
Just when we were talking about drinking and driving in the wing night meet thread, this happens, and by fluke it's a DSM involved.

Poor child is without a mother.

Thomas, you are the bringer of bad news to the DSM community it seems.

The last post I remember of yours was when the guy who bought my old Talon, Stefan S., died in it just a few weeks after I sold it to him.

Condolences to the innocent girl who passed, I would love to strangle the asshole 17 yr old driver with a suspended license however. That trash should be locked up for the rest of his miserable life.

He will pay the price. He will have to live with what he has done. I am quite sure that won't be easy.

I am not quite so quick to judge...when I was a teenager I did a lot of stupid things myself....I am thankful to be where I am today, and that I never had to pay that kind of a price for my stupidity back then.

Risking your life is one thing, Ziggy. Putting another innocent person's life at jeaopardy is another.

This was not an accident, this was a deliberate act. He knowingly drove while his license was suspended, and while intoxicated, and at an unsafe speed to boot.

He should be charged with vehicular manslaughter and serve the maximum penalty as an Adult - no exceptions.

sh!t like this makes it easier when I have to charge people that age $500/mth+ in insurance.

I am not trying to DEFEND him...just saying he is young and stupid. When I was that young, I was also stupid, just not as unlucky.

So, neither of you have EVER raced on the streets in your entire lives?? Not even ONCE??

I actually done it twice, and were 2nd gear "pulls" once in oshawa and another on the 401 and we can't even call it racing since they were coincidental than anything.
Anyways, I was not drunk or had my licence suspended.

And yes I do judge, because I can.

When I was his age I was jumping stairs and handrails on my skateboard , that's is something I consider stupid and immature for that age bracket,
Least of my worries was killing my friends on a car while drinking and driving with a suspended lic.

So yes frack him

So you risked innocent peoples lives also. The fact that you werent drunk only makes it worse... you did it sober! So you didn't have your license suspended...so what? You are NO BETTER than he is(neither am I)...just LUCKIER...so frack you too, I guess, and me too??

My ass thats bullshit and you know it.

If you wanna try to potrait me as stupid street racer, I dont think thats gonna fly, people knows me and know that sh!t like that does not work that way with me.

You can defend him as much as you want, dont know why??!!
Just to go against common sense, but thats ok.

You and everybody knows that a pull is not the same as racing of the streets, where the limit is only 50-60km or on the highway as a matter of fact while weiving trought traffic.

So like I said before, Fack him and his suporters too.....

There is not only one that can judge him... I can too,

So again, frack him.
Thank you good night.

Not bullshit, fact, and the truth hurts!
I feel sorry for you Manuel..if you really feel that way...
I am not saying you ARE a stupid street racer...I am saying you WERE that stupid once, just like everyone else. The rest of us were just a lot luckier than this guy. You can talk about the difference between a "pull" and a "race" until the cows come home. Both are stupid on the street. This guy was unlucky.

I am NOT defending him. What he did was wrong, and he will pay for it for the rest of his life. He has to live his life knowing what he did. He will pay dearly.

Again, there is only ONE that can judge, and one day he will judge YOU. I hope you learn a little and change your attitude before that day...for your sake...

I happen to fully agree with this! And I'm sure Ziggy is right when he says that we all have done something stupid/irresponsible on the streets at one time or an other. I am definetly guilty of this! But I guess I've been lucky. We've all sped, or have done a pull at sometime or an other, but some have been more lucky than others.

One of the best drivers on a road course I know, I've personally seen him do one of the most stupid things I've ever seen any driver do. He actually tried to pass a friend on the paved shoulder of the 401. He was on the shoulder what felt to be about a KM. I'm sure he's grown up a lot since then, but my point being even highly skilled drivers do stupid $hit from time to time when they're young! If anyone knows who I'm talking about, please....no names wink

A guy right in front of Steven Ushers house wrote off his SRT4 doing a "pull". I found parts of that car way up by Steve's house which is an easy 150ft from the road. There are young kids at Steve's house and if they were outside who knows, they could have got hit by a flying car part. The battery went about 250 ft down the road.

I happen to know someone who killed their best friend in a crash and is now paying for that in jail, plus the fact that everyday he thinks about it and wishes he could take it all back. Jail is nothing. Its like Ziggy said having to live with it.

Also the passenger should have never got into the car. Someone in that car would have known he was drinking and had no license. Even if he had a license it would have still happened.

Dont feel sorry for me Ziggy, I am not the that end up going to jail....or dead.

I dont think there is anything I can learn relate it to this theme, at least not in this thread.

My attitude, I have always had it, Its just rises with stupid coments.
And I stand for what I said.

Luckily for him he did this in Canada which means he'll get off easy courtesy of the "young offenders act". Three years doing soft time in a juvenile detention center. When he's out he can go to college, get a job or start a career. He'll then get behind the wheel of a car and............ demon again!

Maybe I am wrong, but I highly doubt that this guy will drive recklessly again. I doubt that he is going to be able to forget what he has done. I don't think he is getting off so easily. I think if I were in his position, I would probably WISH to have died in the crash myself..

Like I said...maybe I am wrong, but I still don't believe it is for any of us to judge, and I still feel sorry for anyone who feels entitled to judge him.

Haha, please don't feel sorry for me.

Why would you automatically assume that he has the same moral regard as you? You keep comparing him to yourself and what you would do in that situation.

??? This has gotten...strange.

Living with it is way worse than jail but young, stupid mistake or not, someone has to fall when the sh!t hits the fan. That's just the way it is. He should get manslaughter because that's what it was. He didn't mean to kill her. But he did.

He knew the consequences of driving impaired and at high speeds and I can guarantee you it went through his head before he fired up that car. He made his choice and now he's going to pay for it.

It is a tragic loss of life but the same argument for the guy can apply to the girl, she didn't have to get in the car. Everyone in the car owes a bit of responsibility.

Hey,

yeah so true Grant,
i was just thinking the same thing just before i read your post. Was also thinking of my buddy Stefan, then i saw what you said. frown
We all have to be careful and the young kids need to be smarter , if anything know when and where you can be a "little stupid", as bad as it sounds, we have all done it no BS.

Also, by "little stupid" i dont mean drinking and driving..
