After long and stressful arguments with Japan Auto. They have decided that they are not going to give me the 23 spline tranny and transfer case that i should have because apparently in Japan the 92s never came with a 23 spline.

My question is, if i have Chrysler put in a 90 transfercase (to match the 22 splines) am i going to end up burning out my diff because of different gear ratios.

If this is the case would it just be better for me to buy the seals and fix everything myself?

Or am i just bringing unneeded stress upon myself and i dont need to worry about ratios and burnning diffs etc.

The transfercase ratio for a '90 and a '92 are the same. '97 and up have a different ratio.

The ratio you should be concerned about is the front differential ratio. I'm assuming you've driven that trans for awhile so it should be OK. If the front diff ratio is not the same as stock you'll burn up the viscous coupling and/or the center diff.

The transfercase leak is usually through the front yoke. Make sure that is repaired or replaced.
