every year we do a PRIVATE track rental of Sparta (St Thomas Raceway)

We are planning to do it again this year. The date is Friday September 24th.

The cost per car will be $50 (cash only), spectators are free.

We arrive at the track around 11am, you can prep your car and get it tech'd.

we race from 12-4pm. Now, anyone who has ever attended this event knows its pretty much run as many times as you want. We usually have only about 12 people there in total racing.

I'll need to know by monday. If I can't get 8. We'll have to cancel.

Hey, I'll be attending, but probably not racing. I would help pitch in though if it keeps the event going. Might just bring the truck, filled with bbq and beer

I would like to attend as a spectator as well, I really hope more people have committed to make this event happen. But like Chris said I would contribute as well if need be.

6 confirmed, and when I spoke to the "new" manager of St Thomas, the price has now gone up from what I was quoted.

What will happen if the price goes up for you racers to $60? And spectators pay $10?

Will you all bail?

I'm pretty disappointed there is only 6 people going, among a medium sized club full of people who mod their cars and are car enthusiasts. I'm going to go in my Passat. I'm down for $60, but I think a few more people should come out and have some fun..

PLEASE remember guys.. if we're counting on you to show (ie: you say you'll be there) WHEN we book this (NOT on the day it takes place) if you DON'T show, someone STILL has to pay for you.

The fact that this event is on a Friday really doesn't help. Most people have used up their holidays throughout the summer.

I'm in school, otherwise I'd be there in a heartbeat ripping the Auto down the track.

As in Monday Sept. 13 I assume, not the 20th?

This sucks, I want to commit to race, but like the age old story I'm not sure if my car would be ready for racing. I'm confident it would run be running, but not a competitive level even it is more just for fun.

Anyway like stated before I would have no problem with paying to spectate

If my car would even be running I would be there for sure. This is my favourite dsm event.

Just sucks everytime I have a dsm, this gets rain/snowed out or it isn't running.

I will make it. Hopefully next year.

They now want 400 for the first 4 cars plus 40 for each additional car.

You can see how that screws us up with only 6 people.

He basically said, get a solid count and call me back.

So the new deadline will be Wednesday.

I'm in as spectator and I don't mind paying for it, I already asked for the day off, but I was writing this meesage my boss is telling me that I might have to go to Mexico tomorrow for two weeks , so I'll you know as soon as I find out what's going on.

I'll race my slow maxima if I have to! I'd like to take the DSM, but I am mad at it. Count me in for racing at this point. I just want to see this happen!!!! COME ON GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a Pocket Bike that will make 50kmh. How fast your Scooter will do??? Maybe I could hook up with you for a strool.
