That definately is a VCR/TV combo in the pink one.. it's aweful. I actually threw up a little. It looks like a couch..

There was a 1G targa concept, but I can't find the promotional photo anymore.

AFAIK, all 1G & 2G Eclipse/Talon/Laser rolled out of the plant in Normal, IL, USA.
This would make a targa option for Europe & Asia somewhat far fetched, literally.

Maybe it was just Europe but I've read about production targas more than once.

Could be another internet myth though.

I've been doing some searching and I've now seen several 1g targas that look VERY much like production.

Here's an example, and if this isn't production whoever did it needs to be paid copious amounts of money. There's no chopped up looking parts like others. Very clean.

Holy crap, I remember seeing this thread when it first started and that would be 4 years ago in like a week. Crazy, that pink car is pimp(and not in a good way). It doesn't even have an LCD TV. wow - seeing it makes me angry - such a waste of a good car.
