Well, winter's coming, we're all getting our cars put away and are beginning to think about upgrades for next year.

What would people be interested in doing for a group buy, and maybe we can start looking for companies to work with.

Few ideas:

Carbon Pieces
Coilover Suspensions
Brake Kits
Misc Suspension Components (Bushings etc)
Gauges (AEM or otherwise)
Turbo
Manifold
Cams
Something that is expensive that if we buy in numbers we can save a good chunk on. IMO, a group buy for <$200 part is a waste since you usually can't save much on it after including shipping/taxes etc.

What are the bulk majority looking to do this year. We can do more than one or if anyone has any ideas, lets hear them!

Some of the bigger items (like turbos) are so competetive, that there is really nothing to be saved by buying in quantity. The margins are already so slim. What you might find is that there is huge savings in SHIPPING if you buy larger quantities of larger, heavier items...

Of course, there will be the obligatory $3-5 donation built into the group buy for DSM Canada, depending on the price of the item.

I would be down for a group buy on dsmlink v3 or on a set of cams.

That's two people for Link, and I would also be down to do it again as I need it

A group buy/ship on Delta cams would be good cost savings.
When I sent my cores back it cost 30$ for shipping and the core charge was only a $60 return. A group ship/return could save a bunch.

I would be interested in a GOOD coilover setup.

Wideband o2 is about the only thing I would be in for.

I'd be in for JIC Coilovers or Kelford Cams.

Koni sport(yellows) - I have a 2g but I have heard that they discontinued the rears for a 1g

I already have v2 of link and would save on the purchase of v3 with the trade in as it is but if somehow I could save more via group buy I would be in for that as well as some cams too.
Some spiffy brake kit would be hot too.

Ian, that only takes motivation, of which you have very little.

I want the driveability of a steet disc, but something capable of taking abuse, maybe ACT 3200's or something? What are some of you guys running 10's and 11's using?

I'd be in for link, an AEM wideband, maybe some coils (depending on the company), even an AFPR...

Silicone hose kits? I remember we did one before... I got the kit in blue, but it looks more purple so I want to switch it up to red or black.

I have started stocking a fair bit of the silicone hose.....but don't know exactly what makes up the kits. I am thinking I might order a couple more in (one 1g and one 2g) so that I can measure and assemble our own kits......

I think Mike is talking about the Larson hose kit from RRE.

Yeah I think that's what it is called. Are those hoses fine for handling coolant?

Rob, That is PERFECT! Now, if someone could direct me to a similar page about the 1g? Or is there by any chance anyone who bought a 1g kit and hasn't installed it yet? If I got similar measurements for the 1g, I could put together some kits fairly quickly...

Mike, good luck with that. I had a HELL of time getting 2g hatches, and there was LOTS of interest expressed....but when it came right down to it, only three guys from Quebec actually bought.....I still have a few in stock...

We did clear lights for 1gb a few years ago. I have since sold out of them, and having a tough time finding them again at a reasonable price....same with clear corners for 1ga and 1gb..

It will all depend on what Ziggy can do for "group buy" pricing.

I am thinking as long as we get a decent enough response to cover inbound freight costs, I can probably do somewhere between 10% to 15% off regular pricing on the kits. Let's say 15% off webstore pricing as long as we get at least SIX kits. Tanks cost me a fair bit to ship because they are so large, so probably only 10% off tanks and parts. I would suggest we start a list, and set a cutoff date. That date would depend on when everyone wants these by.

If we start the list now, maybe give it six weeks? I could place the order mid February, and receive and deliver to you guys around late February, early march. How does that fit with everyone's plans?

If you want to save even more, get a couple guys from the same area to buy, so that I can ship them all to one address...and save on the shipping...

Please include in your post whether basic (stage 1) or progressive (stage 2) kit, which controller if stage 2 (if stage one, I will assume 6-30 psi switch), and what nozzle sizes. If you don't specify nozzle sizes, you will get what he ships (standard) with the kits.

If you want any other parts (extra hose, nozzles, fittings check valve, tanks, etc), please specify that also..

I am going to say that waiting for everyone to get together as a "group" for this "group buy" just isn't going to happen....

Let's do it this way....for the month of May, order anything Devil's Own, tell me you wanted to be part of the group buy, and I will give you very special pricing....
