I liked the sound of mine with the straight dump when I first got the car - straight of the Tial down beside oil filter. The novelty wore off after scaring the CRAP out of more than a few grandmas coming off the on ramp under full boost.
Maybe I'm getting older but I prefer more stealth on the streets. I don't need a loud speaker screaming "Hey I'm over hear and I'm speeding!"

I too, like a dumped wastegate, but I don't know if I like it enough to have it on my own car. I'm staying recirculated for now

If your running such big boost, your WG shouldn't even be opening

If it were still my 16g, the wastegate wouldn't be opening. FP turbo's are too good. They'll boost to the moon if you don't control it.

She's awake! Today I did an oil change, coolant flush and refill, and installed my new CD Deck. Then took her for fun drive! Kind of smiled a bit when I felt the boost

Mine's out now, I'll get a picture of her soon. She's still got her winter boots on until the salt clears completely, but she feels good at 17psi!!!

So far, 2 small issues. Have to replace 2 coolant hoses that are dripping a bit from the oil cooler, and figure out why my meth won't turn on?

Any air entering the system before the pump can result in it not working. It can take several minutes of priming the pump before it will start to work properly again. I prime my pump manually before EVERY drive, just for peace of mind.

Prime without the check valve on. Since its not turning on, I would recheck the whole system, something might be wrong from sitting for so long. I could leave mines all winter long with meth in the system, and its still primed and ready to spray in the spring. A little sneak peak:

and here she is the 96tsi with original paint! Drove her for around 200km this weekend! No work was done for her this winter since the spyder completely took over my attention and funds. She only got some fresh synthetic oil and 94 gas. Pulls real hard at 18-20psi. Had plenty of fun boosting the 5th gear!

Mike your spyder looks jaw dropping good, just do the AWD conversion and stop slowing down kijiji in search for 99 gsx! Was there your upset winter civic in the background?

Haha thanks Alex But I think I've decided against the AWD swap. I don't have the funds to pull it off. Yeah that's my Civic parked on the road. Most reliable car I've owned by far. All I've put into that car was oil changes/gas. Everything else is mint (only 135k) so it should last as long as I need it.

Good call Mike. Keep the FWD alive. I am in the same boat as you and in all honesty, as good as AWD is, there is nothing like a FWD DSM on the highway. That's my opinion anyways.

Oh my car is very much alive I was just thinking that when the time comes to sell both my DSM and Civic and pick up an everyday car (which might be next year)... that the money I put into my Eclipse now - I won't get back. Strictly maintenance and a few cosmetic stuff this season.

I used to think that, until I started breaking the wheels loose at 100km/h.

I've never had an issue with tires breaking loose on the highway so not sure what that's all about. For a summer cruiser, AWD is pointless and heavy on gas.

Mabey when your car puts out some real power this summer you will know . I don't know about dsm's but a Honda ohh mann but thats another story.

I managed to crack the tires lose in my NA-T in second, and sometimes in third too on a pull. Drag radials helped, but I still spun them in second.
