No rust, its been krowned a few times. I got the front clip, roof and rear end painted and krowned before the winter too.

Look really good. You and her both have a couple of seriously clean 1Gs!

Repainting the whole car isn't in the books, I'll just be paint matching the bumper and hatch.

I am 90% there. Just need to run the oil return and then get the exhaust welded up. I was able to find a rad hose to extend my BOV recirculation.

Nice clip Shandon, makes me really miss the boost now. It's probably listed in this thread somewhere, but what turbo & boost are you running?

Tim, the first thing that sticks out, add zip ties to all your vacuum lines. Its good insurance as I know you plan to be running some decent boost. I'd also add some heat protection to the vacuum line that runs to the WG.

Its an 3586hta at around 33-35 psi. Bigger meth nozzles are in the mail though .

I've been to much of a wuss to do a real 3rd gear pull. I've seen 73lb mins once at 8800 rpm.

That's a nice bit of power! Looks like it didn't take too long for you to redline second gear once you hit full boost, ha-ha.

If a cop wants to be a dick he will ticket you for your muffler. If you want to avoid a muffler ticket, then you will have to keep it stock. In the end, every harley davidson in the world goes above the federal db limit, even a city bus on acceleration has a higher db limit than any exhaust I have had on any of my cars. It's just the car that attracts the attention, and if the cop is in a bad mood, you will get a ticket for something ridiculous.

I just keep my car appearing stock on the outside. And my muffler is really not noticeable. It's a Magnaflow 3" in and I think 3" out with no tip on it, so it just kinda hides in the bumper

If its an import with a "fart can", it will likely get a ticket, no matter how quiet it is. My old Apexi N1 system was super quiet, with an actual dB test about the same level as a stock 99 Grand Am & quiter then a stock Ford Explorer & I got hasseled all the time. Went to court 3 times & had it dropped & talked my way out of getting a ticket probably 5 times.

My current exhaust looks identical to stock & is much louder then my old Apexi N1 system. I have not been bothered since I swicted 3 summers ago.

They say its about how loud the car is, thats BS, its what the muffler looks like. If it looks stock, you'll be fine.
