Why don't you guys try solving this in two parts?

Issue 1:
Balance of $400 owing to Ziggy

Solution:
Thomas - PAY HIM via EMT, Paypal. You don't need to drive there and pay him in cash. That will just start an argument in person.

Issue 2:
Ziggy arranging the drive-by and calling multiple times

Solution:
Cut Thomas off your future seller's list so you won't need to deal with this guy again.

Reza, I didn't ask for a "drive by" SHOOTING or anything....I asked if someone could spot a tow truck or other signs of him living there...

Anyways, I don't expect you to base your friendships on my A/R's....
Just good to know who I should consider a friend and who I should consider nothing more than a potential customer.

The first part of your solution I agree with, though...

The thing that makes me mad is that Thomas is acting like it's his choice whether he pays his debt or not, and that's ok. He's acting like Ziggy should be happy and gracious that he will finally pay Ziggy what he owes.

Asking questions because they are seeking knowledge is slightly different than ripping off a well known and helpful member of our community. The fact that you can even try and compare the two makes me want to ask you if your head is up there for the warmth.

I never called him a douche. I know that he owes, and has owed money for a part for 8 months. I know that he has not paid it, and he is clearly stating that he owes said money but will not pay for it because he's upset and acting like a child.

I mean, if he had paid for this part, like he said and is supposed to do, this thread would not even be created, and none of this would have happened. I get that he is your friend, and it is a natural reaction to want to defend them. But, Thomas has no right to not pay the balance owing.

I've read the entire thread, and again, there would be no phone calls or anything if he had paid his bill within the last 8 months, or at least talked to Ziggy. It wasn't until he posted on a thread asking about buying a turbo from someone that Ziggy said something.

Brandon, you should have done the drive by for Ziggy and knocked on Thomas's door. Man I would of just shown up for that event

Why? It's not like Thomas would do anything, he's obviously not one for confrontation or has the balls to man up, but I am also not one looking to get taken away in a cruiser, I have more important things to do with my life than to risk my future by going to this kids house.

The situation at hand is completely straight forward. If you owe money, you pay money, simple as that. Especially when Ziggy has gone out of his way to help you out.

And like I mentioned, it's not that he hasn't paid yet. I get it, times can be rough, I know this first hand. It's this high and mighty attitude he's giving now where he's acting like "well if I decide I feel like paying, I will", that is pissing me off.

Sorry its illegal in Ontario to discuss someone else's debt with a 3rd party, even if they live at the same residence. Blasting them off because they call you to tell them to stop harrassing them is a different story.

Jeez if I didn't want Thomas to pay up, I would not have went to his place. I really don't care no more if Thomas pays now or not, its his choice.

I suggest all people not directly involved , meaning ALL BUT Ziggy and Thomas take a step back and leave it alone for a couple of days and see where it goes.

Thomas I suggest you contact Ziggy and find a way to work this out like adults, as it seems like this is either going to get worked out between you, or get worked out in the courts, and I am sure neither party wants to go that way but one person involved is sure to take it that way if the bill is not cleared up.

Ziggy it seems like the constant posts are doing nothing but infuriating Thomas at this point. At one point he did say that he would take care of the bill on Friday, although with conditions of an appology, what you do about about that in private discussions with Thomas is up to you, but I do think it was unfair for Thomas to be asking for public grandstanding.

I dont think deep down inside either parties are bad people, Thomas, take a deep breath look at both what Ziggy has done for you and others on the board, I dont see many other businesses that extend credit just requiring "good faith" as a stipulation of the transaction, something you have taken advantage of.

Zigg, let Thomas cool down, you have been more than patient in this transaction, I dont think asking for help was going too far in this case, but just remember just posting the facts is enough, without needing to take it to a personal attack level.

Yes, he DID say he would take care of it on Friday, but ONLY with big public apologies,... and he also said he would pay it Oct. 3 of 2010, so pardon my skepticism.

I am quite willing to step back, wait and see what happens this weekend. IF he pays, as I have said, I will THEN decide IF and WHAT I will apologize for, not before....BUT.... Like with Helder....if I see someone posting a "good guy" about him or see him trying to buy or sell on this board, you KNOW I will comment.

You are misinformed. He told me on the phone he wants everything I have posted REMOVED, PLUS an apology posted.

His mother also wanted the actual post with her adress removed. I don't believe that is even within my power, and certainly not within my abilities

Yes, he called SEVEN times in a row..each time saying he wanted to discuss clearing up his bill....but then he DIDN'T discuss clearing up his bill, he just kept throwing out demands.....so I kept hanging up...The eigth call was his mother. Of course, I was ALREADY pretty upset by then. I asked her where he lives, she would't tell me. She DEMANDED I remove her info from the net. I told her it was already on the net, on Canada 411. I also told here I COULDN'T remove it (meaning that I wouldn't know how or if I can edit or delete a post once it is a certain age). She just kept DEMANDING, just like thomas, so I hung up her also....that was it....
