I hunt, pretty much everything, but not around T.O,
do you mean your doing the course this weekend? if so you'll only be able to bow hunt, it takes something absurd like 6 months for your firearms license to go through before you can legally carry a gun. just some info they dont tell you before the course, I did the course a few years ago thinking i could gun hunt after the course.... little did i know it takes 6 months for paperwork. Goodluck huntin either way, the adrenaline is pretty aweseome leading up to a kill/afterwards, you'll be pretty amped up im sure.

I know out in the bush around the base in meaford is pretty good. The Ottawa valley is good especially near pembrooke, chalk river and deep river.
Real men bow hunt anyway, crossbow is a real entertainer

Hey Luc,
I hope you are not referring to the "real men" that sit in trees all day and wait till the deer is close to shoot it with their bow.
The real men are the ones that hunt down their pray and can take them down from a distance. I have had a bow for a while, and although I don't get to shoot it too often as I am not in the suburbs I love going home to shoot it!

There are tons of place to hunt in southern ontario. You need to befriend someone that owns some land and get permission to hunt it. Thats the way to go. If its a mix of farm and bush get a feed plot going the summer before. Get some trail cams out and see where they are.

Another way is to get an old van or truck and drive around until you hit one.

Haha I'm talking about stalking with a bow. "blind shooters" are disgraceful. For every bow hunter that hunts from a blind or a stand there's two rifle hunters that do it.

Real bow hunting is a dying art but it really is the best way to go

Everyone always has a spot they feel is best, some guys will actually get really pissed if you creep on theirs. If you just want to make a day out of it hit hwy 17 somewhere between cobden and Deep river park your truck on the highway or in the bush and go for a stroll in the woods until you see something you'd like to kill (preferably an animal) The wardens up this way are real dicks though.

I also like skeet shooting and slamming beer down. Ruben if you've got the bucks my friend is manager at a prestige hunting reserve north of Cobourg. 400+ acres I think. Lots of deer and about 20-30 acres of food plot.

I also highly recommend duck/goose hunting if you want a challenge and to kill many things at once.

My buddy will inquire. Only does no bucks running around at the moment. For example a driven bird shoot is $900 for the day. Driven bird shoot meaning they release birds into the woods, then a week later they drive them out and you shoot them.

I think that will take care of any animal you encounter!

Or for more close range hunting

Personally I find driven shoots to be almost like cheating. They take all the skill out of being quiet and patient. They are a blast at a lodge with your friends though.

Field beside my house lol,
Well I'd say a pump action, simple design and easy to use, 12 gauge,

I love my newest one, Ithaca model 500 12g, 2 3\4 chamber, over and under barrel

By all means, but your looking for a something to pop your cherry. Your also talking about another price range. You may not actually care for hunting when you go. If I was you I'd be looking for a synthetic pump 12ga you'd be surprised how fast you can actually cycle the action anyway
