Why do you guys refer to the 1G 4G63NT's as ESI's? That's a low blow to the 1G's... the 2G 420A's are ESI's. That '93 is an ES. No "I" needed

I believe ESi started in '93. Before '93 it was just ES.

The 90-92 non-turbos were called just the Talon, or base and came with a 4G63NT. In '93, the 4G37 was introduced to the Talon lineup, so they needed a name to separate the non-turbo's. Thus, 93-94 4G37 was called the Talon DL, and 93-94 4G63NT was the Talon ES.

Also, I owned a '94 ES

I had a '93 Talon DL, my first DSM Sometime before '93 (1Ga only IIRC), there was a 4G37 Laser without the hump on the hood.

I am 99.9% sure I have seen the ESi badge on 1Gb cars. Probably different trim levels for 4G63NT. Kobie had one, maybe he can confirm

How much mileage/what's the history on it?

I got Jeremy's car off Waldo years back we started to build it and Jeremy decided he wanted it, the red 2g was also Waldo's car. The 1g was rough when we got it.

Started my 1990 Eagle talon tsi awd build in 2009, and it will never end. My car now has 218,000km. Put 20,000km on it since i rebuilt the engine, I have a stock motor besides clevite aluminum bearings, ross rings, and a balance shaft delete kit. 20 psi summer daily driver, some of my mods include the big 16g, a walbro 255, 3" turbo back exhaust, 2.5" ss ic piping to 3" fmic, HKS ssq vented of coarse, Fiav and egr delete. Maybe speed density this summer, exploring all my options. The engine bay pics are from 2010 after the engine rebuild.

8.57 @ 87(1/8th mile). That track doesn't give slips so I don't know the 60', initial launch was kinda crappy, I had just barely got on the 2-step when the light went green, but I did chirp the tires in 2nd.
