It's a great deal, but remember that FP only ships via UPS, so be ready for some high brokerage fees on top of duty. Oh...:(

They only show expedited & express as options on their site, maybe they do offer std. if you call in. Though if you don't have a broker, you probably might as well go express or expedited, especially on an order with some value as the COD bill you get from UPS will lekely be the same.
Just checked, $137 expedited or $152 express for a mani, according to their site.

Yeah I asked Mike @ FP directly through tuners since I wanted to make sure they couldn't ship USPS, and they couldn't . Well for an order valued at 1000$+ I'd imagine it would hurt hard. Last time I got something shipped via UPS worth 280$ (this was a while back, learnt my lesson quickly) they charged me 160$ on brokerage/duty, hence I avoid them like the plague these days. I think US shipping rates went up recently though (with USPS). Got a package shipped and it was higher than usual, might just be one of those odd instances though.

They don't even offer me those prices wholesale....and when I tried to buy EVOIII turbos from them, they wanted the FULL $999. PLUS shipping and weren't throwing in ANYTHING.
They make it tough for guys like me. If they didn't have such good quality stuff, I would drop them just like that!

I always looked at upgrading the manifold not because I was worried about out flowing the stock setup, it was more that I wanted a quicker spool. I do agree with Jay on the turbo, he has a brand new 20g for 50$ more than I got my 16g, I think that's damn good!

Well I got quoted 35$ UPS shipping for their new Evo III 16g (they only have 3 left)/255 pump/Manifold combo so I take it, that low is ground shipping. Additionally like you said express via UPS ain't cheap. I may be cheap, But I dont see the deal here.. when there is 2 or 3 much more capable turbo's on here for alot less then that..Plus many more around the other sites. Plus the manifold is only there to look nice considering the evo3 wont out flow the stock. To each his/her own; not everyone wants their car to be beasts. I like fast spool so I'm more into 16gs and T28s. I like peppy cars that feel nervous. I've never had a NEW turbo since I owned this car and I'm never going over a 16g turbo because that's all I need (actually thinking of grabbing the T28 I posted since shipping would be bad on the 16g package). Given this is a nice chance to get a new one I inquired. Additionally, I wouldn't keep the manifold or pump, already have upgraded version of both in my car. My buddy would buy them off me making my turbo cheap to buy. You gotta look at the big picture It ain't happening because of shipping price and such but it is indeed a good deal.

I just think that if your gonna spend 300 on injectors, 300 on fuel upgrades, IC, ARP's, clutch, 700 on Link, and a header..enough sapport to handle like 700hp. And then spend over $1000 on a turbo that limits you to 400hp. You will need ALL that sapport to get that now stressed-out evo16g to 400hp. You can spend alot less and have a just slightly slower spooling turbo that will out preform the evo16g, like a 18g, 20g,or hoslet. And there not huge turbo's. They only thing a evo 16g out performs is another 16g.
For a few bucks more you could have a much better fast spooling killer turbo like a fpgreen, gt30r, HTA, or a holset..
If I wasnt into high hp numbers and wanted a quick street car or track car I would take that $1000+ and spend it on suspension and drivetrain upgrades. they will make better times on the track then just a evo16g upgrade

Not that this matters to the thread at this point but the limiting factor on mine is the IC (I run a Big SMIC for many good reasons :P) spent 200 on ecuflash/evoscan 150 on injectors, 100 on fuel upgrades, ARP/Clutch. Like I said, it's not a beast more of a squirrel on steroids, and cheap to do . Although you are right on the suspension and drivetrain, this is true whether you have a big turbo or a small one (tires also being an important factor for a quick daily). Like I said, for someone looking for a NEW turbo, specifically a 16g this enables you to get it for the same price it sold before the prices hicked up to 1000$ a pop.

this 16g in question is selling for $1000 a pop. thats the problem. They are way over rated!
If you dont want a beast, leave your awsome stock 14b, or upgraded 14b, or just grab a small 16g..for like $200. ive seen one out run a gt30r with tuning and tonnes of boost.
1 dollar more then $200 ...., unless your buying a 18g, 20g, holset or bb garrett... your wasting money. IMO

Well not really, you get the 16g + free 255 fuel pump + free manifold. Sell the manifold and the pump, to save on the turbo (800ish total for the turbo). They sold for 600-700$ new before the hike. Like I said, it's if you want a new unit; nothing wrong with wanting something that's never been used. I've gone through my share of used turbos and in most instances people don't know how bad their turbo's are which creates havoc/money/time etc. Buying it new, no issues whatsoever. They are also the cheapest to rebuild (well the TDO5 family to be exact). I feel like you have anger towards the 16g

I would just save a few hundred more and get this and save myself the hassle of duty fees and selling things. Its way better then the 16g, new, and it sapports Ziggy. https://www.rtmracing.com/xcart/product.php?productid=17449&cat=1741&page=1But I myself would not, cause I will be making 500hp with a bep holset that hits 28psi by 4000rpms'Infact it would be easier for any of us to just buy Zigg's evo16g for $1151 and it would be cheaper then ordering it from the states, paying the fees, and selling all the freebies. Im just cheap and hate watching people spend hundreds of dollars on things they dont need! And I dont see the need for a $1000, 400hp turbo.

It's a real shame FP doesn't have the T3 20g's for $509 any longer, that's what I'm running on my car, just threw a used 16g dsm turbine housing on it, that was a steal right there. Plus they are down firing, so no need for a silly j-pipe with most fmic's.

Not a fair comparison, or there was something majorly wrong with the GT30R, the 16g was running 30psi & the 30R 15psi, etc. No 16g is going to smoke a typical GT30R, a S16g will flow what, 38lb/min max? A 3076, which is a typical "30R" for a DSM is rated at 52lb/min & will easly flow that & more.

I've also witnessed Reza with a 16G pump Todd's GT30r a bunch of times several years ago. It can be done! Most people don't utilize their set-ups to their full potential. When I get my car back and it's deemed healthy, I would love to see you make it go low 13s full weight. 2GB FMIC, 14B, EVO8 pump, 650cc injectors, no tuning solution at the moment. LOL!

Yes, this was being done over 10 years ago. Bali Minhas on this board. 1g full weight, stock side mount intercooler, 14b turbo, stock intercooler piping, stock stock stock etc. etc. He ran mid 12's easily on that setup. Running mid 12's on side mount intercoolers is impressive. Jamal Qazi is another one of them Without a FMIC my evo16g setup also ran a best of 12.6@113, some sh!t like that.....
