Yes, we did the were COMPLETELY disassembled. degreased, sandblasted, powder coated and reassembled reconditioning some parts. In Jay's case his seals and boots were in good condition so they were reused. Do you stock rebuild Brembo parts or they were provided by Jay? I found a nice used Brembo calipers for around 500 on eBay. Just want to know if i need anything extra before shipping to you for rebuild. PM/post aprx price for rebuild. Thanks Mike Front calipers for oem seals/boots is gonna set you back aprox 100 per caliper. Front Giro Disc about 60 per caliper. Rear OEM about 70 per caliper. Rear Giro Disc about 40 per caliper. Brembo stuff aint cheap, you gotta pay to play. These prices vary slightly depending on where you buy the parts. ATM, Brightside doesnt stock these parts. The good news is the seals and boots on Brembos are very resilient, and in most cases can last at least 12 years of abuse. The thing I noticed that DOES eat the Brembo boots up is tracking the car and boiling the fluid. The solution would be to use a proper Motul fluid, and possibly titanium shims behind the pads if you are going to punish them on a regular basis. BACK ON TOPIC, Thanks for the kind words. Its nice to hear positive feedback on the work we do. And it is quite labour intensive doing a set of these. But the result is fantastic.

Looking good Jay!
Its unfortunate, I see more of these evo(and other)brembo calipers with poor paint/coating than good ones, not sure how brembo dropped the ball on these, maybe the coating doesn't stand up to the brake fluid while bleeding the brakes. I'm hoping its not heat related. It's actually a brembo problem. Afaik, there was a silent recall on certain cars fitted with brembo's for the sketchy paint on them.

I thought it flowed more, but at a lower intake velocity? 2Gs had the smaller runners, but higher intake velocity. Something like that.

What type of CNC are you using for your machining work? I'm looking into picking up one for a side project I'm starting. I have tons of experience in 3d-modelling/FEA and G-coding, but I don't know sh!t about CNC machines.

Brightside doesn't have a machine. I am however a machinist/programmer at my day job by trade. We have two Dmg five axis mills, one haas 4 axis mill, one hermley three axis, and one puma Cnc lathe.
I do all my machine work (engines, mods, half assed engineering, whatever) at work off the clock.
Fak, 14 years next month since I got my ticket!

Fak, 14 years next month since I got my ticket! I've been browsing 4-axis mills but I don't know what specifications to look for other than the max axial motions. I'll be working with mainly aluminum. There's a nice one by Tormach but they seem to be more for prototyping than production.

I assume if you are talking about production, you are looking for a full size machine, not a tabletop?
Are you sure you need 4 axis? I have a 4th axis setup and have NEVER used it. It came with the used machine, or I would never have bought it. For the VERY odd time I DID need 4th axis, I found it easier just to farm it out to someone who kept the setup on the table than to do all the setup.
On a slightly related note, if you see any great deals on a used CNC lathe, I am looking...
